  Finally, I tried it and I fell in love with that lemon in the opening, fresh and not at all shrill. As it settles, it becomes creamy and warm with caramelised almonds and sandalwood that combine perfectly. On a cold and rainy day, it was a comforting hug without being overwhelming, with an integrated rose and a soft cloud for about 3-4 hours. It has a clean aura like a good musk, although I am surprised it doesn’t carry one. Now I complain about the price: it lasts more than 12 hours but drops to skin scent quickly. For 130 euros, the projection should last longer. It cost me finding it only online without being able to smell it beforehand, and at that price I fear they will discontinue it. It is my first Burberry and I think it performs like an Eau de Parfum or less. It is beautiful, but I feel foolish about the price and the projection. It stays well on clothes; I hope it works better in temperate weather, not for summer.

  Finally, I tried it and I started to love it for that enthusiasm of lemon I had never smelled before. The opening is pure citrus energy, neither acidic nor shrill, which I adore. Then it becomes creamy and warm, highlighting caramelised almonds without being excessively sweet, blending perfectly with the sandalwood. On a cold, rainy, and windy day, I felt it like a comforting hug that didn’t overwhelm; the rose is perfectly integrated and after 3-4 hours it seems surrounded by a soft but present cloud, with a certain clean aura. I am surprised it doesn’t contain musk. Now I complain about the exorbitant price: it lasts more than 12 hours, but within a few hours it drops to skin scent and stays there. For nearly 130 euros, it should maintain its initial projection for much longer. It is hard to find, only online without being able to smell it first, and I am not surprised it is rare at that price. It is my first Burberry and I think this Elixir has the performance of an Eau de Parfum or even less. It is a beautiful perfume, but I feel somewhat foolish about the price and that is not something I like. The good thing is that it lasts all day on clothes. I hope it works better in temperate weather, because I don’t see it for summer.

  I bought this cheaply after a forum recommendation and it didn’t let me down: it starts with a lemon punch that is quite a slap in the face, but soon softens without losing its edge, which is exactly what I was looking for due to its originality. On my skin, it lasts half an hour before turning into a delicate rose and amber; over time, the floral note fades and the amber takes over, reminiscent of The One Essence after about 3-4 hours. It has a soft sillage and lasts around 8 hours. Compared to The One Essence, this is lighter, more floral, and evolves better, although the other is denser, warmer, and sweeter. I prefer this Elixir, but the other has an addictive mystery. If I had paid 130 euros like Étoile Blanche, I would be more demanding, but having saved nearly 100, I am delighted. Scent 8.5/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 6/10, Value for money 7/10, Versatility 7.5/10, Packaging 8.5/10. Yes, I would buy it again.

  I bought it cheaply after reading a colleague who praised it. The opening is a lemon punch that lasts half an hour before softening. I love that evolution towards a delicate rose and amber; after 3-4 hours it smells like The One Essence. It has a soft sillage and lasts about 8 hours. Compared to The One Essence, it is lighter, more floral, and evolves more, although the latter is denser and more addictive. I like the Black Elixir more, but I pay nearly 100 euros less than Étoile Blanche, so I am delighted. Scent 8.5/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 6/10, Value for money 7/10, Packaging 8.5/10. Yes, I would buy it again.
