SUPER SEXUAL! Super vibrant, natural leather. The first few hours are absolute beasts, perfect for a night of lust, don’t ask questions. To me, it feels more feminine than masculine, though ultimately it’s unisex.
Good line from Francesca, but that iris ruined the composition for me. It’s a lovely scent, just not for me. I adored the patchouli in the dry down and the opening, but the heart simply doesn’t work. Cheers.
In the Francesca Bianchi line… Leather, animalic, aggressive and dark. It’s very good, but over time it becomes cloying and offers nothing new compared to her previous perfumes. Within this genre, I prefer The Dark Knight, which I find more elegant and less intrusive.
I tried it and… I LOVE IT! I love how Francesca Bianchi handles the leather. The blend with the floral, oily, and fruity touch of champaca is spectacular. Add the peach and the talc-like nuance of the iris, and it’s an absolute knockout! If I didn’t already have other Francesca fragrances in my collection, this would be a safe buy. The problem is it smells too much like her earlier works. Obsessive Devotion has a similar sweet peach to Tyher Tyger, and a dry-down leather note almost identical to Divine Perversion (in fact, if you swap the champaca for raspberry, it’s nearly the same scent, just more intense and animalic; I like it more and if I had to choose, I’d stick with Obsession, even though it came late…). The opening reminds me enormously of Luxe Calme Volupté. It surprised me because FB always surprises me, but here the element of surprise was missing. Same with Byzantine Amber, which resembles The Dark Side too much. As a standalone perfume, my rating is very high, but within her collection, it lacks originality and risk. The performance is good, as is everything Francesca does. Scent: 10, Longevity: 9, Sillage: 6, Versatility: 8, Originality: 5, Overall: 9.
