Descripción

Olympea Legend by Rabanne is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by perfumer Loc Dong. At its opening, the fragrance unfolds plum, myrtle, and sea salt; in the heart, floral notes and ginger blossom give way to a base of vanilla, tonka bean, amber, and sand.

  • Yasmin2015

Very nice, super gourmand, intense and long-lasting. When I was a child, my mum made some sweet fried wheat flour empanadas, filled with Chavacano jam, and it smells exactly like that <3

  • Pepperina

On my skin it smells of honey, passing through grape, plum… It’s a scent I would love in something edible but doesn’t quite convince me as a perfume; I had already smelled a similar one in a toilet soap. For some reason, I can’t help using it; it’s like the hat from The Simpsons.

  • This perfume is highly polarising. I bought a decant and the first time I smelled it, I only sensed the salt note, which generated instant rejection (I didn’t know the original Olympéa yet). Months passed; after owning and loving the original Olympéa EDP, I decided to give it another chance (now in autumn), and I have to say I no longer feel that salty note so strongly (although it is present), but rather an extremely sweet and cloying plum syrup; I even feel it’s licorous and slightly sticky, like a pot of plum preserve. I still don’t like it unfortunately because it is so sweet and potent that it makes me dizzy and gives me a headache. From my point of view, it’s only suitable for those who love excessively sweet perfumes, and definitely not one to buy blindly… Heavy trail and on my skin it lasts 10/12 hours; performance well above average (with few sprays) and highly recommended in that sense, but my nose can’t stand either that overripe plum note nor that it is so sweet.

  • When I smelled it, it became a special aroma for me. It reminded me of a very ripe plum, almost rotting. Or a jam with lots of sugar. It’s extremely sweet and super heavy; more than one spray with this fragrance can give a headache to more than one person. Projects like a beast and is very, very sweet.

  • JennLop07

I have an acidic pH, so these gourmand perfumes are for me: if it is very sweet and heavy, it’s delicious! It lasts a long time, approx 6-8 hours on skin, and on clothes, needless to say.

  • Exotic perfume. As soon as I smelled it in the perfumerie, it reminded me of summer creams with a coconut aroma 🥥, then it blended with plum 🫐; it also has an alcoholic touch, like wine 🍷🍇. It’s true that it doesn’t resemble the classic Olympea or the Intense; it’s something else, much more gourmand with the softened salt note. I don’t see it as much of an autumn/winter scent as they say; it transports me to a Mediterranean beach in the middle of summer. Sweet, mysterious, and intense. However, I’m not fully convinced by that alcoholic/licorous note I feel quite strongly; I should try it again to define whether I like it altogether or not 🤔

  • PURE SUMMER: I love it. It’s the perfect mix between Olympea and Solar. Smells like pure summer, like the beach, but with those exquisite salty vanilla notes from Olympea in the background. The salt is more noticeable here than in the original, I suppose to evoke the sea. There’s something I can’t quite decipher: it evokes a summer fragrance but has a very heavy winter solidity. As a summer scent, I prefer Solar because it’s fresher, although Legend has more body if you prioritise that. Powerful trail and excellent longevity. I imagine it for summer holidays on the coast, at night, when the wind picks up and the heat isn’t so extreme. I like it very much, but it’s the only occasion I see myself wearing it.

  • Nalgoncito

I remembered how beautiful this perfume is until I found it on a reliable website; it was the last one and I didn’t hesitate to buy it. Today I opened it to go to work in this cold autumn, and what a pleasure to feel wrapped in a good perfume like Olympéa Legend ❤️ It transports me to a paradisiacal beach in the desert, with hot sand. Using it makes you feel like a goddess. What a pity it’s no longer available anywhere; I want it with me always. It’s everything I ask for in a good perfume. I love it 💕

  • A rich, intoxicating scent that brings back memories of Scandal, not because of the notes but due to that sweet potency. Smells like sugared vanilla with super-sweet fruit, like peach; the amber is present and brilliant. However, as it is so strong, it’s only for winter, or you’ll feel dizzy. Youthful, playful, and full of energy. If you love it very sweet and a heavy trail, go for it.

  • It’s my favourite of the Olympea line; what a pity they’ve discontinued it… A super gourmand scent with impeccable longevity; on my skin, it lasts until the next day. It reminds me of an exquisite honey and plum tart. I love it!

  • Its trendy friend (ZENZ, FRAICHE, etc.) has finally arrived. Of the few originals I own, unfortunately for me, I can’t stand it 😩😭. I have both, the original and the Fraiche trend version, and they’re identical, so I can’t stand either 😣. The original smells like rotten dulce de leche, a caramel gone bad. Why? I identified that blackcurrant usually doesn’t suit me, but the combination of blackcurrant and plum is the most unpleasant smell for my nose, the smell of death 💀. I can’t tolerate it; it’s repulsive. I realised this because another perfume loved by the community that I can’t stand is Hypnotic Poison, which also has this deadly mix. Definitely not for me; I regret buying it and you shouldn’t buy it blindly, not for anything!

  • My favourite perfume in the world; I’m almost out and desperate to find a dupe; I don’t understand why they discontinued it. The first thing I smell is vanilla, and although it’s not listed, I get a strong scent of coconut, but a lovely coconut, not synthetic. It’s earned me thousands of compliments and lasts about 5-6 hours on me. I wear it in winter or summer because I’m not very sensitive to scents and this aroma fascinates me. I hope I can find a similar scent one day.

  • Vic tresmundos

It enchanted me! Super intense, just like me. At first, the salt is very noticeable, and mixed with the plum, it gives a tipsy touch. It brings back memories of a perfume from the 90s; surely it was a cream or body splash I used in my teens. Cheers.

  • It has presence, projection, and that gourmand touch that has everything, except that they’ve discontinued it. They say it was due to some issue with the composition; I don’t know if that’s true… When this runs out, I’ll have to find another fragrance that captivates me as much, what a pity. I felt like a dessert with legs, haha. I have a refill of this majestic fragrance that did great chemistry with my skin; what a delicious blackcurrant gourmand, I smell all the notes and this dessert accompanies me all day. The salt note is lower than in the Intense, but it still lingers. Of all the flankers, I’m sticking with Legend alone. I chose this perfume without knowing its scent, just based on YouTube comments, and I fell in love.

  • So gourmand and realistic that I imagine a plum jam, blackcurrant, and vanilla cake coming out of the oven. It’s semi-warm and sweet without being cloying, ideal for temperate climates. It’s cosy and intimate because on my skin it doesn’t last, but on clothes it’s something else… There’s something that doesn’t quite convince me, so I wouldn’t buy it again. 7/10.

  • Perla Vencis

I tried the classic Olympea and although it’s lovely, it didn’t win me over, so I gifted it away. I was hesitant about the flankers, but I wanted to try this one for its fruity-floral mix. For me, the plum and blackcurrant with the florals are fleeting. What I notice most is vanilla, tonka bean, and a salty touch. It’s very long-lasting; I only wear it in winter. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blindly because that blend of vanilla, sand, and salt is very peculiar.

  • Nati Poison

I don’t detect any DNA of Olympea; on my skin, it behaves almost identically to Si by Armani.

  • Belle_intense

I bought it blindly ages ago and thought it smelled horrible, like sour or rotten milk, agreeing with others. I tried to like it but it was impossible; I’ve already sold it. It’s not for blind buys, nor if you aren’t a gourmand fan; the notes of plum, apricot, and salt create a very strange scent. I like Olympea, but this one doesn’t work for me at all.

  • It’s spectacular! Super extra long-lasting. I wore it on Christmas Eve and could still smell it at 8pm; it lingers even longer on clothes. It smells like blackcurrants sweetened with vanilla. It’s not cloying or sickly sweet; possibly the salt (which isn’t noticeable) cuts through so much sweetness. It’s intoxicating with moderate sillage. People complimented me saying it smelled like coconut or suntan lotion, but I didn’t notice that. Exquisite for winter, though I also use it in summer. One of my favourites.

  • This perfume has the Olympea DNA; I feel that salt I hate so much. It’s fruity, salty, solar, and sweet, strange… it’s a plum tart with salt. That salt is unbearable to me; I hate the note, and no matter how little I feel it, I feel it three times stronger. It’s a good perfume, intense, but it’s not for me.

  • Sofigm594

What happens to me is that the classic Olympea seems more interesting to me, with more nuances. I don’t associate this flanker much with the classic. On my skin, I only sense vanilla, like an air freshener.

  • Isaesparza

Among my favourites, it smells deliciously of plum and peach, my absolute favourite notes. Almost any perfume with them I like, but this goes further: it has lots of tonka bean, lactonic notes, and is extremely sweet. The ginger and salt come in to moderate it and give it body. It’s exquisite for my nose, but not for everyone. The salt gives it a different aroma that I love, but many people dislike it. If you like plum, peach, or tonka bean, buy it blind. If you prefer fresh or oriental scents, don’t even get close.

  • Florencia_guzman123

I don’t recommend buying it blind. It’s extremely gourmand; after two sprays, I can’t tolerate it. I was having dinner and the only thing I wanted was to stop smelling it so I could eat peacefully. It’s not sexy or tasty; it drives anyone away. Apologies to those who like it, but I prefer sweet floral ambers and I couldn’t stand this 🙁

  • WHAT A PERFUME!!! It’s discontinued; I don’t understand why. I was lucky to buy the last one the perfumerie had. The projection is brutal; I sprayed it on my arm to test it and it literally overpowered my perfume and the ones I had tried. It’s everything I like in a fragrance. A unique and indescribable sweetness, just right… nothing missing or excessive. What luck I have!!!

  • It was my signature for three years, very different from the classic, a 360-degree turn. It’s warm and sweet but not cloying, though quite strong; it bothers the sensitive but it’s a miracle for lovers of potent fragrances. It stays on my skin and clothes for hours. They discontinued it last year, and that was the worst; I barely noticed and bought a 100ml bottle for special occasions. It’s half empty and I don’t want to finish it; I hope to find something that makes me fall in love as much again 💔.

  • ConiPerfumada25

On my skin, the plum and vanilla dominate, and I sense an undeclared chocolate. The salty touch is very strong. It’s rich; I bought it blind, risking it because I don’t think everyone will like it. I’m not sure if it’s my imagination, but I applied it a week ago after showering and I still feel a breeze. The longevity is out of this world; it’s delicious and ideal for cold climates. With four sprays, I have it for the whole day… be careful with the amount, it lasts a long time. If you don’t like sweets, this could be cloying.

  • I hate the salty note; it smells like sweat and dirty. This perfume is like someone wearing a sweet one without having bathed. I don’t understand how the Olympea line went viral 😱.

  • When I first bought it, I wasn’t a fan; the scent sounded strange to me. I left it untouched for months, and when I returned to it, it was the most flattering fragrance I’ve ever had. I’m running out of the bottle and I’m heartbroken. To me, it smells like a heavy vanilla dessert with salty chocolate and caramel, but it has something repellent, as if the plum is very ripe, almost going bad. The longevity and sillage are bombastic, even on linen fabric.

  • amolosperfumes05

Initially, I had to let it settle because the performance wasn’t what I expected from the reviews. It has a marked salinity at first, but over time it blends with a subtle sweetness and a spicy touch. The plum adds softness and balance, making it more fruity yet serious, without losing its sensuality. It’s intriguing, which I love. After letting it macerate a bit, the performance was spectacular.

  • madeinfrance

This perfume was spectacular, simply perfect. It hurts that it’s discontinued; it would be ideal to have one always. Very sweet at the start, super fruity, pure plum. Then comes that delicious vanilla that lingers on the skin until you shower. Very potent; two sprays are enough. Its aroma seemed very original to me. It’s a love-hate perfume. I’d say it’s the one that has complimented me the most; it was very noticeable. I miss it so much!

  • I smelled it on a colleague and thought it was rich, but on my skin it smells like tetra-pack wine (Argentineans will understand xD). I suppose it’s the plum note. I already have the classic Olympea and Flora, and both suit me well. This flanker isn’t for me. I recommend trying it on skin before buying.

  • I bought it blind and didn’t like it at all. I thought it would be gourmand or sweet, but no! First, it smelled of old things, and then that salty or sandy note ruined it for me. It also smells of alcohol, although I’ve had it for four months. The positive is that many people have complimented it and it lasts days (approx 2 or 3), with a powerful trail; with two sprays, you’re well enough scented. I wear it only because others like it, but I don’t much. Since it doesn’t convince me, I try to mix it with sweet creams or perfumes I do like. Does anyone suggest a body splash or perfume to combine with it?

  • adabarcelona

It’s a fragrance that attracts a lot of attention, with a rare contrast (increasingly common even in niche and classics) of sweet vanilla and salt. That mix of contradictory sensations works. I’m grateful that the salty note in Legend isn’t that cliché of seaweed, rotting wood, or sea cucumber that I hate so much. I wear it when I don’t mind leaving a sticky, sparkling trail, to feel my instinct without thinking. It signifies a key moment in my life; although it’s not my signature, I remember well how I used it with intention. It’s the perfume of a powerful woman who doesn’t need a suit to impose herself; she can wear pink or flowers and still be magnetic and unsettling.

  • A real bombshell; I was gifted it and fell for it instantly; it lasts a long time on the skin, at least two days, leaving a scent of peach and honey. For me, it’s one of the favourites.

  • FloorPerfumeadicta

Olympea Legend is a total masterpiece 💜❤️, one of my winter favourites ☃️☃️😍. The first time I smelled it, it didn’t captivate me 🤭😁; suddenly I detected vanilla, wine, and peach, and I loved it. I fell completely in love 👀❤️❤️. Sillage: it’s like a plum bathed in vanilla, salt, and peach, then it becomes sweeter and more vanilla-infused. I detect coconut and a creamy dulce de leche like a delicious dessert 🥞 😋❤️😱❤️. It has excellent longevity; it’s noticeable from metres away, and I receive many compliments. What a shame it’s discontinued 💔. I own Olympea Acqua, Intense, and Legend, but my favourite is this one. I love it 😍😍; it’s unique; I don’t know any other that smells like this!! ❤️❤️. AROMA 10/10, LONGEVITY 10/10, SILLAGE 10/10, VERSATILITY 7/10, VALUE FOR MONEY 10/10, PACKAGING 10/10. WOULD I BUY IT AGAIN? IF I CAN GET MY HANDS ON IT, YES ❤️😍❤️💕.

  • Resistirern1832

I love it. The first time I rejected it because it overwhelmed me, but the second time I liked it, and it’s one of my favourites. The combination of salt and vanilla is unlike anything else.

  • You have to try this perfume before buying it; that was my mistake purchasing it blind. I’ve tried it twice and the scent is too strong, very intoxicating. I can’t describe it well; it smells like overripe fruit, perhaps stewed plum and blackcurrant. I don’t detect any vanilla; it’s a total disappointment. I searched for so long based on the positive comments, but it was difficult because it’s already discontinued. I can’t tolerate it; it gives me a headache. Perhaps I’ll give it another chance and change my review later.

  • It’s a super potent fragrance with excellent longevity. On my skin, the salt and vanilla notes are very prominent, creating a distinctive scent I’d never tried before. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but for me, it’s one of the richest scents I’ve experienced. Men have complimented it greatly; it seems to have a noticeable effect on them. You must moderate the sprays; I overdid it and I think it unsettled some people. The scent became stronger over time, presumably due to maceration, so it can be overwhelming, very sweet and powerful. DO NOT BUY BLINDLY. What a pity it’s discontinued, but I managed to get two bottles after it was removed from my country. I would buy it again; I want to have it with me for several years.

  • What hurts is that this perfume is no longer available, and I truly love it. It’s dark, sexy, and incredibly enveloping. I have my last bottle and don’t even use it because I know I won’t find it again. It’s extremely potent and has only become more intense over time. People love it and hate it equally, haha. For me, it’s an absolute masterpiece.
