About Organ #7
Organ #7 by Filippo Sorcinelli: A Softly Smouldering Oriental
Organ #7 is Filippo Sorcinelli’s latest scent, released in 2026. Created for men and women, it sits within the Oriental family and is composed by the designer himself.
It opens with powdery notes and coconut milk, then moves into a heart of incense and myrrh – a transition that feels both comforting and mysterious.
The opening of Organ #7 is gentle and creamy. Powdery notes and coconut milk give the perfume a smooth, slightly sweet start, with none of the sharpness you might expect from an Oriental.
At its core, the fragrance becomes more intense. Incense and myrrh deliver a rich, balsamic character with smoky and warm-spicy undertones, giving the composition a contemplative quality.
The base is built on oakmoss and musk. It adds an earthy, musky depth that keeps the scent grounded and dry, anchoring the softer top notes beautifully.
According to the note profile, the accords are powdery, amber, coconut, mossy, sweet, musky, balsamic, warm spicy, smoky and earthy. That broad range makes Organ #7 feel layered, evolving from creamy to resinous as it dries down.
Early reviews give it an average of 4.5 out of 5, which bodes well for a fragrance only launched in 2026.
This is for anyone who enjoys nuanced Orientals: if you love creamy openings, incense-heavy hearts, and earthy, musky bases, Organ #7 is likely to hit the mark.
Organ #7 is a beautifully balanced fragrance from Filippo Sorcinelli. It pairs a powdery, lactonic opening with incense, myrrh, oakmoss and musk, resulting in an Oriental that is soft, intimate and quietly compelling.

For me, it is the best of the seven and the most different from everything Filipo usually offers. The opening, for a few seconds, I don’t know why, reminds me of Kenzo Homme Intense—something sweet and green along with the coconut straight away. The good bit comes as it develops, because it takes a more gourmand route, but it is curious because it achieves that sensation without declaring any vanilla notes, which seems odd to me. What it evolves into is a very soft butter-and-coconut sponge cake, something refined, nothing loud or showy, and very well executed. This smell lingers for the entire fragrance until the faint touch of coconut disappears, and close to the skin there remains that sensation of sponge cake or even butter brioche. I do not perceive the incense or the myrrh, but I do perceive that subtle coconut with the talc and the final musk. Longevity is around 6 hours and the sillage is contained, but of very good quality with an incredible trail. I recommend it, and I am sure I will end up getting it, because as a lover and collector of vinyl music, that presentation with the melted vinyl appeals to me enormously.
