Oud Ambrosia by Acqua di Parma: a bright new take on oud

Acqua di Parma has unveiled Oud Ambrosia, an oriental-woody fragrance created for both men and women. The new scent, which launched in 2026, sets dark oud against a vivid fruity accord.

The opening is juicy with papaya, blood orange and clementine, while the heart and base develop with oud, saffron, tobacco and leather. The result is a warm, multifaceted perfume with a distinctly modern edge.

Oud Ambrosia opens on a trio of top notes: papaya, blood orange and clementine. This combination brings a sweet, tropical tang that makes the fragrance feel much lighter than its oriental-woody label might suggest.

At the heart, violet leaves, oud wood and saffron create a layered middle. The violet gives a soft, leafy contrast to the dark oud, while saffron adds a powdery warmth that carries through to the finale.

The base is a dense blend of tobacco, leather, honey, woody notes, amber, additional oud and resin. Together these ingredients produce a sensual, honeyed trail with just a hint of animalic edge.

The official accords list citrus, sweet, tobacco, tropical, fruity, leather, animalic, oud and honeyed facets. It is a great deal of complexity, but the perfume manages to hold them together with surprising smoothness.

Early ratings place Oud Ambrosia at 3.6 out of 5, based on five reviews. It is a modest sample, but enough to suggest this is a scent that rewards those who enjoy bold composition.

People who appreciate oriental-woody fragrances and enjoy oud rendered with fruit, spice and a touch of honeyed sweetness.

Oud Ambrosia offers a fresh perspective on oud: not too heavy, not too sweet, but beautifully balanced between brightness and depth. A confident new release from Acqua di Parma.
