  • I had it between 2007 and 2008, I loved it; it’s fresh but cleaner than Prada L’Homme. It has more elegance and is one of the best for the office, a simple but well-executed blend of powdery and floral notes. Could be unisex but I prefer it on men. Lasts 5-6 hours, around 7 if you overapply. Soft/moderate trail. My favourite Prada so far, Intense looks interesting, I must try it.

Very good perfume, note: if its aim is simply to smell good, here you get bar soap at four hours, and then on the skin it leaves something that smells like saffron wrapped in a slight amber, the best part of all. Lasts 8 hours on my skin, projects nothing, it’s very personal, the perfect fragrance for home office.

  • Prada Amber is undoubtedly a clean aroma, opening with citrus and freshness. As it dries, it smells like talc, powdery, like baby powder or the kind that comes in a box with a pom-pom. Smells like good quality talc, but I don’t like walking around smelling like talc, so I had to get rid of it. It’s clear it’s high quality and very versatile, nothing sexy, simply meant to smell good. Not for me.

  • A jewel!!! Lasts over 9 hours and you can feel the change as it dries. You sense the opening, but with a quick movement you catch that elegant citrus halo. A must-have that leads many clean-scented fragrances, distinguishing itself from Prada L’Homme and Prada L’Eau… Amber is kinder and more versatile for the office and cool or mild climates, not for hot summers… Now that Prada is owned by L’Oréal, try to find Puig versions before the formula changes. Amber deserves a place in your collection. 😎

  • A forgotten jewel of the past. If there is a clean scent, this takes the crown. It’s in my top 5 of all time. That soapy touch and the longevity captivate me. The opening is confusing, with amber, neroli, and strong citrus. After 10 minutes, as the alcohol evaporates, the spicy (cardamom and saffron) and resinous notes emerge. All of that makes it very seductive, until it settles and the clean part appears with geranium and vetiver. Then comes the leather, cardamom, and labdanum, giving it a masculine touch, though it could work for women too. Woody finish, slightly generic but maintaining its identity. Lasts longer than usual (easily 10 hours) and projects moderately or strongly depending on the number of sprays. Verdict: perfumes from the 2000s marked a revolution and this is part of that golden era of designers, where innovation thrived until 2008 when everything became ‘too common’ and with the release of Invictus in 2015, what remained was extinguished. Plus, the bottle is spectacular; just seeing it makes you want to apply it. Prada Amber Pour Homme, fantastic ❤️

  • Smells like a good bath gel, a perfect clean scent for everyday wear. Warm, better for cooler days. Lasts well and projects nicely; two or four sprays are enough, though I like it without it being too noticeable. Not for drawing attention at a party, there are better options for that. But it’s high quality and won’t go out of style.

To be brief: if you’re looking for the scent of fine soap mixed with talc, this is it. A total success, I love it.

  • Prada Amber Pour Homme is pure class, ideal for personal use. Warm, with a soapy touch and a hint of talc. Refined and elegant scent. Moderate trail and longevity. 7/10

I’m back to this perfume and it never disappoints. Smells like quality soap and leaves an impeccable trail.

I bought a decant due to the ‘hype’ (for millennials, the ‘buzz’) surrounding YouTube videos about its possible discontinuation. The opening is a bit rushed; I detect a citrus-floral scent leaning towards synthetic, though pleasant. As it dries down, a strong scent of hand cream or body lotion dominates, the kind my grandmother used; yes, pleasant, but purely cosmetic, floral, creamy, and slightly musky. On my skin, it lasted two hours before becoming noticeable, then it stayed very close to the skin. By the fourth hour, it was gone. Overall, it’s a pleasant fragrance, especially for spring and summer, ideal for after a shower. A perfume for personal enjoyment, the office, and feeling good while taking a morning walk. I wouldn’t keep it in my collection; for me, there are better options.

  • The opening smells like women’s cosmetics (that’s how I perceive it). After an hour, it becomes soapy, creamy, and pleasant… This isn’t for showing off, it’s for feeling good, clean, and neat; if you add impeccable hygiene and care, you won’t bother anyone; quite the opposite.

  • I bought it blindly based on reviews and rumours of discontinuation… utterly disappointed, especially given the price. I recognise its high quality and complexity; I understand why it’s considered a masterpiece, but simply isn’t for me. I don’t feel comfortable wearing it; it smells like a bathroom and I dislike that oriental touch. I tried it many times to convince myself, but there was no point. I read that everyone loves it, but in my experience, that wasn’t the case. I tested it on about eight people and they all said ‘it’s weird’. I don’t believe it has the mass appeal people claim. The longevity is enormous, around eight hours. However, the projection is very short, less than arm’s length. My advice: don’t rush to buy any perfume. Try it first, and if you like it, then buy it. Best wishes.

  • It’s a FANTASTIC fragrance; if I had to choose ten to last a lifetime, this would effortlessly make the cut. It was my signature for a couple of years, and I’ve gone through several bottles. When I discovered it, I didn’t have much knowledge, and today I still consider it a great purchase, especially in these times when everything smells the same. It’s versatile and suits everything, perhaps not the best in extreme heat, but I haven’t had the chance to try that. In my case, good projection and excellent longevity. It’s not ‘seductive’, but it reflects tidiness (in the Prada style) and refinement. Ideal for the office. I’ve heard they want to discontinue it, what a shame… A perfect 10 out of 10.

  • I’ve tried it again after years without seeing it. It seems they haven’t discontinued it, but it’s not what it used to be. I used it by the litre when it first came out and have a good memory of it, but it seems that, as always, it’s a shadow of what it once was.

  • I don’t own the perfume, but my father does (it was a gift). I’ve heard it many times and always ask him to let me try it. How would I define it? When it enters my nose, it gives me a sensation, a mood that creates a clear mental image: a mature, classy man freshly showered, who after drying off has applied white flower creams and a foamy aftershave. I can’t define it any other way. It has something special. It’s a simple scent at first glance that hides tremendous complexity (I see it in its delicious evolution over time). In intermediate seasons it’s perfect; its ideal moment is spring. Lasts about six hours on my skin with moderate projection or a personal bubble. What it does have is a trail; the first two hours it releases rich bursts. In my opinion, it’s clean/floral for almost anything: work, dates, interviews, walks (not for parties or the gym). If you add a white shirt and are neat… 10/10. As for whether it’s very feminine or unisex… at first it smells like women’s creams, but as it evolves it leans towards the masculine (evoking a man who cares greatly for his image: beard, cosmetics…). In conclusion, I regret not having a bottle because this is a BEAUTIFUL SCENT.

A masterpiece by Daniela Andrier that disproves the idea that clean, soapy scents are simple. One of the most beautiful aromas, niche included, where neroli doesn’t smell like baby cologne, cardamom doesn’t dress up in a suit to add elegance, and tonka bean doesn’t scare off those who dislike sweetness. Because here all the chords aim for a result: beauty without stereotypes, elegance in cleanliness. The art of perfume. Performance better than its siblings Prada L’Homme and total versatility for all seasons.

  • Juanchourcas

It reminds me of Versace The Dreamer but unisex, like a baby cologne with a hint of acid added. It’s clean and floral.

  • SantEternity

Prada Amber Pour Homme is an elegant, warm fragrance that projects a highly refined masculinity. Its blend of woods and spices with amber and leather creates a magnetic effect. Ideal for formal events or for those seeking to stand out with a distinctive, sophisticated scent. It leaves a trail and conveys confidence and power. I tested it on a 10ml decant from Decanty.com and I really can’t wait to use it.

  • The opening is baby cologne. The dry down is baby powder, soap, and vanilla. Summed up in those notes, it’s quite rare, but I love it; it’s an excellent fragrance for daily use. 10/10.

  • Currently owned, 2023 batch. This fragrance stands out. The aroma is a spectacle; little more can be said. For a clean scent, it has excellent performance, very good longevity, and is easily noticeable for more than 6 hours.

  • SUBlime. One of the best perfumes in history. It conveys elegance, simplicity, neatness, and sobriety without equal. In an era where sweet perfumes reign and 80% smell the same, this plays in another league: that of elegance, of the one who doesn’t need to attract attention, of the one who knows they are secure and winning. That is Prada Amber. The fact that they supposedly discontinued their best perfume, light-years ahead of L’Homme or Luna Rossa, is an aberration. It’s not just for smelling like gods; it’s so addictive I could spray it on bed linen, cushions, all my clothes, and even bathe in it. The best iris combined with the best expensive soap smell offers this. They broke the mould.

  • molletmod.73

Jeez, it smells wonderful. Brief citrus opening, then cardamom and saffron-lavender with a quality soap smell leaving a persistent vanilla hint, meaning 100% cleanliness. One of the best saffron perfumes I know without drifting into ouds, resins, incense, or leathers. Here it goes for a soapy scent with a charming vanilla touch, not overly sweet. Totally unisex with absolute versatility. It’s a Prada gem, a guarantee of quality. If you spot it in a small or large perfumery, by chance, in outlets, or lost among the cheap ones, grab it blind; take my word for it. La Roche proved she was a top-tier perfumer. Elegant, stylish, a perfume that enchants forever.

  • The best Prada perfume. Better than L’Homme, Luna Rossa, or Infusion. It has excellent longevity for its type of aroma, good projection, and is totally versatile. The quality is sublime and the scent unique: clean but with the Prada seal. The only downside is that being so neutral, it lacks personality and tends towards unisex. It smells neither feminine nor masculine, though some women find it masculine. Don’t be fooled by reformulations: the 2020 batch is still spectacular, just like the old one with the differently coloured liquid.

  • Yes, it smells clean but nothing masculine or memorable, with performance that seems like a body mist rather than a designer perfume at that price. It brings to mind baby wipes, which doesn’t help. The Prada L’homme series maintains that clean scent but with more personality, without having to press your nose to smell yourself. My rating is based on a 2023 batch, in case older versions had worse performance.

  • More than unisex, it’s universal: any living being who wants to smell clean and fresh can wear it, with no lemon or bergamot notes. It’s timeless, sophisticated, and possesses a discreet elegance. The longevity is immense; it soaks into clothes and even the place where you store it. I know it because I gifted it to a boyfriend (and I regretted it); I loved smelling it on him. It smells as clean as expensive, talcum-soaked soap, with musks that made me close my eyes like the ones from Chanel. It has tenderness; even children could wear it. I don’t think a guy looking to conquer over the weekend would like it; it’s for daily use, not ultra-sexy, though tastes are subjective. I felt seduced by that feeling of just coming out of the shower. Every time I smelled it, I told myself I should keep it for myself, haha, and now that we’re not together, I regret it more because it’s no longer on sale. If anyone knows a similar dupe, I’d be grateful.

  • It’s a clean, great perfume for daytime wear. For marketing reasons or whatever, you can only find it at El Corte Inglés for nearly €100. To me, it has real magic; I wouldn’t wear it in humid summers or winters unless just to project a neat impression. Although I associate that magic with its flanker Intense (which I can no longer find), I’d say it’s a teddy-bear-style cologne but improved, with higher, more sensual tones without losing freshness and naturalness. It’s perfect for everyday life, says a lot without saying anything, and will appeal to lovers of clean scents. The price is high and distribution exclusive, so it depends on how much you value it. Plus, what smells like this today isn’t what it was like yesterday.

  • ra-miro-01

A masterpiece of perfumery. Clean, distinguished, sober, and classy. It radiates elegance and leaves you looking sharp. In its simplicity lies its beauty; it is uncommon. I cannot think of anything more sober than this. When you wear it, you feel an incredible white aura; it is madness. 10/10, definitely within the top 3 of Prada.

  • I did not like it at all; I had high expectations and it was a disappointment. It smells like blue soap, then softens with something sweet but keeps that soapy scent. It aims to be clean like Luna Rossa or similar, but it is not. It is clean and fresh, but a bad experience: 5/10.

  • Prada Amber Pour Homme is my second favourite perfume; it has me head over heels. The triangle of Neroli, Musk, and Patchouli creates a clean, elegant, and exquisite scent on my skin. It is the bath soap and talc that lasts all day; I enjoy it on any occasion.

  • Jhonas IG

What luxury; Prada is synonymous with luxury. Wearing a fragrance of this stature speaks of good taste. This is no exception: it smells like a visit to the barbershop where they go overboard with tonics and foam, a scent for a man with character. I feel it is Old School style brought into the 21st century, as if the grandfathers in the movie Grasse, in their youth, smelled like this. Madness, but for personal enjoyment it is a 10/10.

  • I have the new version (L’Oréal reformulation), so I request that the Fragrantica database be updated, just as they did with Luna Rossa EDT. Otherwise, the perfume is very, very good.

  • Barras_fragancias

They say there are perfumes that smell like river soap, but this smells like fabric softener, very pleasant. It is similar to Prada L’Homme EDT, but softer and less aggressive. I keep wearing it because it smells clean; it is the definition of that. If Prada felt too sweet or annoying to you, this version is much more bearable.

  • Prada smells like soap and a classic barbershop. Most of their perfumes have that base, and this is a perfect example of it.

  • rubidosmiluno

A soapy, talc-like, and amber scent that I only wear for special occasions; so far, I have not found anything similar in other fragrances.

  • Agustin Vera

If this perfume needed an update, it didn’t deserve one. Prada respects its formulas, but I doubt anyone would complain about a modernisation. Changing the name while keeping the essence is fine, but the cardamom and saffron make it too bitter nowadays. Boosting the orange blossom and vanilla or adding some sweetness would help that initial freshness last longer. An ideal cologne version with more citrus over the new base would be perfect. In summary: it is very bitter, the heavy base does not match the fresh top notes, and it is difficult to wear.

  • Prada is quality, elegance, and pure cleanliness. This smells like soap + sunscreen + baby cologne at the highest level, something Arab clones simply cannot match. I love the Pour Homme line (all of them, except the Absolut version which is no longer in production). PS: Avoid Paradigm, it is for teenagers. The rest is my favourite house; do not change anything.
