About Pulse
BLACKSTAG Pulse: A Powdered Musk With Bright Florals and Polished Woods
BLACKSTAG Pulse was launched in 2026 as a unisex offering within the woody floral musk family, created by nose Linda Song.
The idea is one of composed freshness: a luminous start that eases towards a gentle, well-groomed woody-musk finish suited to daily wear.
At the top, mandarin meets violet. The mandarin supplies a neat citrus sparkle, the violet lending a soft, powder-like floral veil.
Through the middle, orris root and lily of the valley take over. Orris provides a smooth, cottony iris character, while lily of the valley contributes a green-tinged whiteness.
Underneath, cedar, sandalwood and musk form the foundation. Cedar keeps the woodwork dry and tidy, sandalwood adds a restrained creamy roundness, and musk leaves the impression of freshly cared-for skin.
The overall accord is powdery, woody and fresh, with citrus, white flowers, violet, iris and musk in balance. Development is seamless, with no abrupt change from phase to phase.
Projection remains intimate and orderly. It feels at home in daylight and in work settings, sitting particularly well on skin and crisp cotton where it smells clean and settled.
It should suit those drawn to fresh musks, delicate iris and light woods, and who favour a discreet, well-finished unisex scent for regular use.
Pulse does just what the name implies: a measured, tranquil beat. A floral, woody musk that chooses neatness and ease rather than statement.
