  • Launch of the new perfume line created by this English house, and in this case, by perfumer Daphne Bugey. It opens with fresh bergamot, to which tobacco and a ginger note are added, gradually sweetening with honey and a touch of cinnamon. I detect nothing of rose or other declared notes. On paper, it sounds good, but in reality, it has left me cold. It lacks sharpness and body. The citrus opening makes it original compared to the well-worn proposals of its style, but it clashes slightly with the overall perfume. In the dry-down phase, it reminds me a lot of Tobacco Vanille (once again…), but without the body and punch this had when it first hit the market. Decent longevity with moderate sillage. So, just average. I liked how it smells dry, but its price seems totally unjustified, as has been the case with everything I’ve tried from this brand.

Just received. An aroma that from the very first moment reminds me of Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford; versatile and preferably for cold climates or winter. As it dries down, the vanilla scent takes more strength, yet tobacco still predominates (despite vanilla not being listed as a note); the rose and leather are barely noticeable. Excellent longevity and projection; recommended for a more mature audience, generally over 35 years old. A very good fragrance; I recommend it if you have a taste for sweet tobacco. Best regards to everyone.

  • It is a less synthetic version of Armaf Signature Night; I’m surprised no one has linked them before. They smell identical, though the Armaf is slightly subtler and more synthetic. Signature Night is an economical option for those who want to know what it smells like without paying the Penhaligon’s price. An elegant aroma, but perfect for trying before buying.

Roaring Radcliff by Penhaligon is a velvety fragrance. It begins with a very soft, elegant, and refined honeyed note. However, the sad part is that its splendour fades quickly; its magic disappears in just 45 minutes, leaving a longing for more. What a disappointment! From this house, my favourite remains Halfeti Leather.
