Rogue by Rihanna

It is a wrinkled flashy Bottega Veneta version however you want to call it Bottega Veneta with dried peach juice.

When I received this perfume (bought blind) over a year ago I did not like it; it was super different from all the ones I have reminding me of the Gucci Rush I tried when I was very young and did not like. However I left it stored away. Some time ago while looking for other old perfumes I decided to take it out and give it more opportunities and I must say that I completely changed my mind. It is a super different aroma yes but every day I find new nuances that enchant me more until I want to keep it forever. It comes out extremely fresh almost mentholated and when it dries it smells of suede patchouli and vanilla my favourite notes. It feels slightly powdery and sweet but not cloying; that fascinates me. It smells like an expensive niche fragrance extremely elegant. For the ridiculously low price paid it is spectacular. The only downside is that it does not last as long as I want a maximum of three to four hours but I apply it on clothes and there are bursts of that delicious and distinct aroma. It is unisex and I would categorise it as a chypre. I do not recommend buying it blind although if you do I think you will end up loving it as I do.

I bought a little bit because of YouTubers out of curiosity and because I wanted a perfume with skin. At first sniff I did not know what was happening; in fact I ‘regretted’ it a little thinking it was not for me. But the magic happened when I tried it on skin… It is a marvel! It is not my top pick but I really like it. It has a lot of personality. I see it on a determined independent and confident girl because it attracts attention and does not go unnoticed. A sophisticated feminine aroma that empowers as if you were injected with a shot of glamour. Many think the suede gives it a masculine air but for me it gives an interesting touch very different from what I have heard. It is slightly sweet without being cloying; I think it is because the plum and vanilla are felt almost all the time. The suede is noticeable from the start but discreet not like a blow to the face as in Fucking Fabulous or Leather Oud which are tiring. I do not distinguish the bergamot or particular flowers but I do feel the floral and I sense the powdery and woody notes. With impressive projection and sillage it lasts on my skin for about seven hours much longer on clothes. You get waves without moving; you are wrapped in a little cloud of delicious and addictive perfume. I do not recommend buying it blind though.

To me, this is Rihanna’s best perfume and one of the ones that joined the floral-fruity antelope clone caravan of Bottega Veneta. It opens fruity, citrusy, floral and sweet, without being cloying, typical of lemon tree blossoms. It resembles the original Bottega Veneta a little, but as it dries down, it is almost identical to the discontinued Eau de Velours flanker, the sweeter one with rose. As the fruitiness fades, the mentholated, talc-like antelope rises, making it fresh, although it suits cold weather; I tried it in summer and it works if it’s not too hot. Lasting power and projection are decent: four sprays give about two hours of trail and last around eight. It is unisex leaning towards feminine, elegant and slightly nocturnal, perfect for a confident woman seeking something sober yet with personality for everyday wear. Pleasant 7/10, interesting 8/10, versatile 7/10, original 6/10.

It just arrived and what a great mistake. Do not buy it blind; it has a great resemblance to Eau de Rochas it seems extremely masculine to me I notice a lot of leather and woods. I have not liked it at all. It is not at all a feminine fragrance. It does not fit with the other reviews; I bought it on Notino so I do not think it is fake but I am surprised by the resemblance to Eau de Rochas.

What a delightful surprise this fragrance is; it fascinates me super; it certainly has a masculine touch but precisely that is what gives it that charming magic. Highly recommended it smells original definitely for strong women who like to attract attention.

A proper perfume bomb. If I tested it blind, I wouldn’t say it was by a celebrity; even I am surprised that its price is five times higher. It is elegant beyond measure with impressive longevity and trail. In its dry down, suede stands out, giving it a nocturnal and enigmatic touch, although it has a talc-like nuance that I attribute to the rose, cyclamen and musk. It is well worth the money and feels like a gift for the price.

I like it because it is different and has so much personality. It resembles Gucci Rush a little (although I prefer that one), and what I notice most is the leather, although perhaps I don’t wear it. I use it to take a break from so many sweet and vanilla perfumes. I can smell it until I get home. Thanks to your reviews I bought it.

Another unique fragrance from Rihanna. It smells very particular, like a super pleasant and elegant sweet leather, with brutal longevity. I think it is unisex, but not excessively masculine, very wearable for a woman. I love the 125 ml bottle for using it a lot. I wouldn’t choose it for romantic dates (I prefer Rebelle or Reb L’Fleur) nor to go unnoticed at work. I use it to reaffirm myself, feel secure and independent, go shopping, or visit exhibitions. Perhaps more for late afternoon or evening. Scent 9/10 Longevity 8/10 Sillage 8/10 Value for money 9/10 Versatility 6/10 Packaging 8/10 Would I buy again? Yes

I bought it blind as it came with Rebelle and Fleur, and I thought it interesting to try them. Rouge smells strange but addictive; I can’t stop smelling my wrist. I don’t distinguish all the notes, only the leather, amber, and vanilla; I think these give it that powdery and dusty touch. A point in its favour: it is very long-lasting and has good sillage. A good scent. I give it an 8/10.

Well, a celebrity perfume with a good reputation that I had to try. I grabbed the bottle with enthusiasm; it’s quite sturdy and heavy. I applied it expecting a sweet, fruity bomb, like lollipops or caramel, but I was completely wrong. What a surprise! The opening is warm, cool, mentholated, herbal, sweet, strange, synthetic, elegant, intense and powdery. I can’t decide which note to highlight, but it smells wonderful, luxurious and cheap. I was expecting something like Shalimar or Chanel No 22, but this is the one for me. Less glamour, but I save a fortune. The longevity is typical of any designer fragrance for €19.95.

My dear Boy Capel was right. This perfume is extremely similar to Armani Privé’s Cuir Amethyste. The longevity is shorter, but for the price, it’s an excellent alternative. I recommend it.

It smells a bit like D&G’s Femme, with that touch of lavender or marshmallows, but be warned: the trail and longevity aren’t its strongest points. Still, the price makes it very interesting 🙂

What a pleasant surprise. The longevity and trail are decent, around six hours. It reminds me of D&G Pour Femme, but sweeter. If it had a sibling, it would be Polo Black. It’s that kind of comfortable, warm, and calming fragrance. What I notice most is the plum with patchouli, followed by leather. Sometimes it smells a bit dusty and vanilla-like. I still enjoy it; it’s unisex and on the skin, it recalls Armani’s Cuir Amethyste.

Rich perfume, reminiscent of Nina Ricci’s Decidela in its wild version, and the vanilla-soft, budget edition of Gucci Rush Bravo. Well done!
