  Bought this blindly on the strength of good reviews and picked it up here in Spain at a crazy price for the 100ml EDP. It arrived a few days ago alongside its sibling Blossom Oud, and after giving it a try, here’s my take. The opening is powerful, with a spiced wood scent, slightly peppery and exotic, but within minutes it gives way to a brutal, talc-dusted, apothegmatic rose over a bed of oud, also spiced and exotic. This phase lasts many hours on the skin; the rose dominates throughout, keeping the oud in the background. Gradually, an undeclared patchouli creeps in from the base, adding an earthy touch. The leather takes several hours to emerge, noticeable only in the final phase as a very faint note, as if afraid to show itself or perhaps an olfactory illusion. The dry-down is very soft after such an intense development. It’s unisex, but for me the rose scent is overpowering and I’d prefer a woman wear it, though obviously this is subjective and since I already have it, I’ll use it anyway. It’s intense and very long-lasting, so forget it if you’re looking for something fresh and light, but it’s unisex and at a bargain price, highly recommended if you love roses.
