Have you worn Saltus?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. I was expecting something with eucalyptus and incense for my collection, but in the end, it smells more like cat urine (I suppose it’s the castoreum). Do not buy it blindly. Update: I’ve smelled it again and now I remember what it smells like; literally, it smells like Poxipol.

  2. I want to recommend a very well-crafted and interesting fragrance in its evolution. I try to be impartial, as it is a house I love and I see much artistic potential in each line. In short: an opening with strong eucalyptus notes and very camphoraceous, yet nothing out of control, as these notes are enveloped in amber notes (Styrax). The first phase is very intense, emulating aromas of forests typical of South America. As it dries, you encounter very noble woody notes that provide a less volatile base than the opening. These notes are well known, yet they captivate through their versatile development. Sandalwood and incense that captivate very harmoniously. I will only pause on the animal note of castoreum… very present and that integrates perfectly with the rest. At some point, a patchouli enters, which I fail to perceive; perhaps it adds some sweetness to the woody edges. A very artistic and intense fragrance, for an audience that understands a conception of complex woody bases. Woody, camphoraceous, and animalic… these define SALTUS. It is not for everyone… a well-open-minded audience… if you meet those requirements, this fragrance can become a beautiful addiction. Regards, Perfumado’s
