Sangre Dulce smells original and is well-blended. The name promises sweetness, but it’s a mix of amber and fruit, rare as if jam-packed flowers melted with amber in a silky, elegant syrup, without being cloying. Sometimes it recalls the animalic amber of Tango by Masque Milano, but with a different intensity. I love the concept and the liquid quality. They say it doesn’t last long, but for me it’s average or better. It’s unisex, slightly feminine, and shines in the cold. There are better ones from the brand, but I wouldn’t buy it if I could. Rating: 8.5/10
I like it a lot because it resembles Baraonda by Nasomatto. However, it has nothing to do with Gualtieri in terms of richness, evolution, or potency. It does lean slightly more towards red fruit than Baraonda, and that sweet, liquorish note with an animalic touch is similar at the start. The name is suggestive and the scent interesting, though not as original due to that similarity. For me, at €80 for 30ml, it’s not viable because it requires a lot of application and the cost skyrockets.
I tried Sangre Dulce and feel a mix of love and hate. Love for the scent: licorised red fruits over an intense, animalic civet base, very similar to Transylvania by Calaj. The hate comes from the performance. If it lasted a bit longer and projected better, it would be perfect for me, a 10. As it doesn’t last more than five hours with poor projection, even though I adore it, I give it a very high mark. It’s unisex, soft, and wearable anywhere. It’s rich and delicious but not very elegant, so it wouldn’t be my first choice for very formal occasions. I want to try more from this brand.
