  I tried it for the first time at ECI with my wife, and we were surprised by several fragrances from this lesser-known house. It’s not an evolution masterpiece nor particularly original (vanilla with vanilla), but it is an almost perfect approximation of a vanilla cologne: gourmand, not cloying, with a milky touch that becomes more noticeable after 6-8 hours, turning into milk with a slight salty vanilla recall. It’s very well crafted and uses quality materials; it smells like real vanilla while cooking, not an idealised version. Perhaps it’s not predominantly masculine, but that amber note makes it suit a man. I wouldn’t wear it myself, but if you love authentic vanilla, buying it blind isn’t a bad idea.

  At first it doesn’t feel heavy, but it’s so sweet and creamy that within a few hours it became cloying. It projects subtly with a hint of alcohol before evolving quickly into a dense, vanilla-scented, sweet milk. On skin it feels warmer than on blotter paper, reminding me of warm baby bottle milk. It’s comforting and nice for a few minutes, but (personally) I wouldn’t wear it on my skin to smell exactly like that. Perhaps it lacks floral notes to balance it out.
