  It is hard to find a citrus fragrance that truly moves you; most are pleasant and fresh but little more. Seductive Cédrat is different, special from the very first second. It has that luminous joy, like tasting a freshly made lemon tart, with the perfect balance between acidity and sweetness, yet it also has body and intention, far beyond the typical refreshing citrus scent. It is undoubtedly my favourite from the ‘Cedrat Club’ sub-collection, which also includes Cedrat Tonic and Buddha Blend. The opening is pure vitality: yuzu, green mandarin and lemon, with that natural texture that only real citrus possesses, not lab-made imitations. It is no coincidence: they are made with Orpur® ingredients, which are, so to speak, the crème de la crème of raw materials. And it shows, hugely. Then everything changes. A creamy, very soft heart arrives, with jasmine and an almost milky note that envelops without being cloying. Some might think of coconut, it is not that, but I understand the association. And then, suddenly, toasted sesame. What a discovery. It has a warm, salty, addictive touch. As if someone had added an unexpected note to a delicate dessert and it worked perfectly. The base is subtle yet enveloping, with vanilla, amber, sandalwood and musk, all very well balanced, without falling into heaviness. Yes, perhaps it does not project as much at first, but that does not mean it disappears; it changes form and clings to the skin, almost like a second texture, with a density that surprises. It can last perfectly eight hours, but nothing has to do with the fireworks of the opening. It remains a scent that projects quality, recognised as another ‘thing’; there I see much of Liquides Imaginaires behind it. The most astonishing thing is that Andrea Montanari created it. Yes, young, yes, new generation, but with an olfactory sense and precision that are frightening. Where do you come from, Andrea? I will keep your name. Nothing in this fragrance sounds experimental; everything is exactly where it should be. For me, Seductive Cédrat is one of the best citrus gourmands available right now, the best? Yes, yes, yes, it is the best. If you like fragrances that smell true, with hyper-realistic notes, well-crafted, and that balance between the sweet and the sophisticated, try it… impossible not to give in.
