  • I had the chance to try it the other day and it didn’t say much to me. It’s a fresh, citrus scent, very typical and ordinary. I don’t think it’s a fragrance worth investing in. For me, it passed without glory or shame.

  • Citrus and that’s it. Fresh, smells good but doesn’t say anything to me. The bottle is lovely but not worth it; the scent is vulgar. For summer it’s not bad, but if you’re going to smell only of lemons, there are much better perfumes to invest in.

  • Whitewaterlily89

I just smelled it in the perfumery on blotting paper, and it seems too citrusy. I usually like some citrus scents, but this one seemed excessive and overwhelming to me.

  • Adictalosperfumes

Well, I have to say it’s very summery, fresh, very citrusy, and has something of a childish essence, like Nenuco. I like it a lot, but because I love this type of perfume; if you don’t adore citrus, forget it.

  • In the end, it smelled of fish to me, as if I’d eaten a skewer of sardines and only half-wiped my hands with a lemon wipe. I couldn’t believe it; I’ve tried it several times and it always happens. They say it has coral in it, I don’t know if that’s true, but for anyone not from the coast, it might remind you of holidays; for me, it made me feel nervous, as though I hadn’t washed properly.

  • In the end, it smelled of fish, as if I had eaten a skewer of sardines, half-cleaned with a lemon cloth and left to sit for hours. I couldn’t believe it; I tried it several times and it was always the same. Later they told me it carried coral, I don’t know if that is true. For those not from the beach, it might remind you of holidays, but it made me nervous, feeling as though I had not washed my hands properly.

  • It’s the best quality bathwater I’ve tried. And I say bathwater because I don’t see its use extrapolating to anything more than stepping out of the shower to reinforce freshness and the feeling of cleanliness. It’s like an ‘adult denenes’. Compared to the rest of Loewe waters, all rated as unisex, this is the one that comes closest to the feminine side. Its opening is a tremendously refreshing citrus combo but nothing intrusive, giving way to a bouquet of white flowers and finally resting on a soft woody base, where the cedar is perceived right up against the skin. Its longevity and trail are light. If you like using it after a night shower to go to bed, you’ll feel like Cinderella: just enough time to put on your pyjamas and relax, and then Mar de Coral will be the memory of the shower. A good option for a hot night. Therefore, I think its price isn’t justified by its performance and limited use. Do I like it? Yes. Would I buy it? Clearly not.

  • It is the highest quality bath water I have tried. And I say bath water because I don’t see its use extrapolating to anything more than getting out of the shower to reinforce freshness and the feeling of cleanliness. It’s like an ‘adult Denenes’ (a fragrance for very young children, for those unfamiliar). Comparing it with the rest of Loewe waters and rated all (with good taste) as unisex, this is the one that comes closest to the feminine side. As for its evolution, its opening is a tremendously refreshing citrus combo but nothing intrusive, giving way to a bouquet of white flowers and finally resting on a soft woody base, where the cedar is perceived close to the skin and fades away at times. Its longevity and sillage are light. If you like wearing it after a night shower before going to bed, you will feel like Cinderella. You have just enough time to put on your pyjamas, relax for a moment, and go to sleep, by which time Mar de Coral will be the memory of the shower. (A good option for a hot night.) Therefore, I believe its price is not justified by its performance and limited use. Do I like it? Yes. Would I buy it? Clearly not.

A very fresh scent, dominated by citrus and mint. It smells identical to Tartine et Chocolat cologne (blue bottle), just more intense.

  • LOEWE AQUATIC MAR DE CORAL: as pleasant as it is insignificant. I don’t quite understand why a house with Loewe’s prestige has launched this cologne. I imagine they want to reach a market with lower purchasing power but that would dream of wearing a Loewe fragrance. Because in Spain, LOEWE AQUATIC MAR DE CORAL is cheaper than any other Loewe fragrance, which is already a fairly expensive brand and which, lately, has been living a bit off its former glory. It’s the same thing happening with Saint Laurent, Guy Laroche, Azzaro, and some other designers. It’s a case that bears many similarities to JEAN PAUL GAULTIER’S MONSIEUR EAU DU MATIN, which I never understood what it’s doing in the Jean Paul Gaultier family. They are bath waters, slightly more intense than Nenuco or Denenes, but considerably more expensive than these, which can be bought in one-litre bottles and used abundantly as a splash. Citrusy, fresh, clean, and little more. As colognes, they are fine; as perfumes or fragrances, or in short, as something serious enough to write a proper review, the truth is they don’t offer much. If we were to write reviews for all supermarket bath waters, the Fragrantica database would be, not a BIG DATA, but an UNLIMITED DATA. The scent of MAR DE CORAL gathers the typical clichés that horrify me (fresh, soft, beachy, clean, my little sister used to wear it, etc.). Sillage and longevity are low. It can be used at any time by anyone, regardless of their reason for birth, race, sex, religion, opinion, or any other personal or social condition. Over-application is mandatory.

  • This Loewe is simply not for me, especially given the price. It lacks any feminine scent and I would never wear it. I passed the decant to my boyfriend to see if it suited him better… On my skin, it smells only of sour citrus. While those who adore lemon colognes might love it, it is one of the few fragrances I have worn that I have desperately wanted to take off. I rarely enjoy citrus scents. Longevity 3-4 hours, projects well initially. Scent 2/10, Longevity 5/10, Sillage 5/10, Value for money 3/10, Versatility 2/10, Packaging 7/10. I would not buy it again.

  • I didn’t like this Loewe fragrance at all, especially considering its price range. It doesn’t smell feminine on me at all; it’s a scent I wouldn’t use on any occasion. I’ll pass the decant to my boyfriend to see if it works better on him… On my skin, it only smells of sour citrus, and although lovers of lemon-based splash colognes might adore it, it’s one of the few scents I’ve sprayed and wished I could take off. Bear in mind there are few fragrances where I enjoy citrus dominance. As for longevity, I’d say it’s about 3-4 hours, projecting well at first. Scent 2/10 Longevity 5/10 Sillage 5/10 Value for money 3/10 Versatility 2/10 Packaging 7/10 Would I buy again? No.

  • It’s not bad, it won’t go down in history, although it doesn’t aim to. A blend between the scent of the sea breeze and the classic Nenuco cologne. It’s a good option for summer, whatever your age or sex. More neutral is impossible. It feels neither masculine nor feminine; Loewe has nailed it in that sense. If you were born by the coast and no longer live near the beach, you will like remembering that scent, which is very well achieved. Longevity and projection are typical of this type of citrus-aquatic summer fragrance; don’t ask for the moon from a star. Its price is dear for its performance, and that perhaps tarnishes it a little; I wouldn’t mind having it in my collection but not at that price, it could be from Loewe or Creed.

  • As a lover of fresh colognes with mint, orange, lemon, petit grain, neroli and musk, the scent of this has delighted me. It’s fresh, rich, pretty, and feels like a timeless classic cologne. However, given the wonders Álvarez Gómez creates, such as their Eau Fraîche or Nenuco, Hierbas de Ibiza, 4711… I think it’s not worth it as it has a high price but offers no greater intensity or durability. Mar de Coral and Aire Fantasía are representations of classic colognes that always work, but not at any price.

  • As a lover of fresh colognes with mint, orange, lemon, petit grain, neroli, musk, etc., I have adored this scent. It’s fresh, lovely, and feels like a classic, timeless cologne. However, given the wonders made by Alvarez Gomez, such as their eau fraîche/green label cologne, or Nenuco, Hierbas de Ibiza, 4711… I think it’s not worth it as it has a high price but offers no greater intensity or durability. Mar de Coral and Aire Fantasía are representations of classic colognes that always work, but not at any price.

  • I loved it in 2016, but its longevity was non-existent; here in Mexico it didn’t last long on the market, when I looked for it it had disappeared, and now I’ve found it again, atomised it, and it doesn’t smell as beautiful, but… it’s still so lovely, except its fixative is horrible, it doesn’t last more than 10 minutes on skin and evaporates. It’s one of my favourites, but with that fixative, it’s hard to justify the price.

  • I feel, like a sigh in parentheses, the tomato note I so miss (it was in my beloved ‘Les belles’ by Nina Ricci from the 90s, wonderful). But it’s merely a sigh. In the background, synthetic musk: well, it doesn’t bother me. I sniff and the tomato has already vanished. On others, it smells good and lasts; on me, neither does. And that’s the worst part: paying Loewe prices for something very weak, like hand wash cologne after washing your hands. Reviews mention several bath waters it could remind one of. I find it identical to the non-alcoholic Mustela baby cologne.

  • It reminds me of the classic Suavinex baby cologne from the pharmacies. Although the Loewe one lasts longer, it still smells the next day. It’s like baby cologne for adults, yet I receive many compliments. The tomato note makes it unisex, similar to how they make children’s cologne. On my skin, I detect it and it gives a very original touch.

  • ParfuMALE

It doesn’t lift a hair. It starts with that fresh Loewe aquatic touch, a white citrus floral, but very quickly aromatic notes dominated by mint and other sharp elements take over, ruining the experience. Too expensive for what it offers. I wouldn’t recommend it.

  • Mr. Baskerville

Three phrases from reviewers perfectly summarise this Loewe Mar de Coral Eau: @Thilien: ‘Smell citrus and that’s it’ @AranxA87: ‘It is a fresh, citrusy, very typical scent…’ @Josesan: ‘As pleasant as it is insignificant.’ And indeed, one could name half a dozen cheaper colognes that compete effortlessly with this Loewe fragrance. I am in full agreement with those who say it is brilliant as a post-bath cologne and also for refreshing oneself on a hot day. It has felt so generic to me that I was left bewildered by the price, especially given it is a serious proposal from Loewe. It is an absolutely versatile aroma for summer, suitable for everyone and for everything, although I see it as too short for adult use at a formal event. In summary, it smells good but will hardly create a memorable impression.

  • Isabella Autiero

Warning! It is an eau de cologne and fades quickly. It is not my style, though I understand why citrus lovers enjoy it. The most prominent notes are sour lemon and mint. If you are obsessed with the scent and don’t mind spending well, but if your wallet hurts, it is not worth it as it disappears in about three hours with minimal sillage.

  • Isabella Autiero

Attention! It is an EAU. It vanishes immediately. It is not my style, but I understand it may appeal to fans of citrus notes. The notes that stand out most are the sour lemon and mint. If you are in love with this scent and do not mind spending well, but if your wallet hurts, it is not worth it because it vanishes quickly; at best, it will last three hours with minimal sillage.

  • Re-editing. It is a good EDT, a delicious aroma but with a price I believe is overvalued. It is fresh, citrusy, and has a floral note in the style of Loewe that simply works. Its longevity is brief and the sillage is scarce. It barely remains on the skin for three or four hours. I like to use it for sports or on very hot summer days after sunbathing. It is a clean scent and nothing intrusive. It’s like a collection of citrus with a base reminiscent of floral fabric softener. It is perfect for a day at the beach or a hiking trip. It is a high-end bath cologne where you are paying for the Loewe brand.

  • I confirm what Marietta said. The classic Suavinex baby cologne is very similar to Mar de Coral, and it is a quality brand. You can combine both if you enjoy that clean scent, so tender and not too citrusy, something more floral than standard bath colognes.

  • efímeratempestad

I was with a girl who was wearing this. I made the mistake of telling her I liked it. From then on, I believe she bathed in it every time she saw me, and I eventually developed a strong dislike for it. You say the sillage is scarce, but for me, it was not. It smells like a hospital, a dentist’s office, clean yes, but not in an attractive way.

  • A citrusy and refreshing perfume, yet very intrusive. I owned this cologne and eventually grew tired of such an acidic scent. Unlike other reviews, I felt the longevity was quite good, although there are more enduring perfumes available. I preferred it when the aroma had already faded slightly.

  • A lovely fragrance with an extremely citrusy opening; I can distinctly smell the mandarins on my face. However… that’s it. It’s fresh, like a baby cologne or those you buy in the summer and then forget. I understand it is an eau, but on my skin, the longevity is non-existent. What a pity.

  • MariaConstanza

The Johnson’s baby cologne smells almost identical, but this one lasts longer and is significantly cheaper.

  • elastoria

One day while scrolling, I spotted a fantastic deal and grabbed it immediately, as I absolutely adore neroli and citrus scents. It smells like CK One but more akin to Agua de Ella. Lasts about four hours if I apply it as if it were my last day. Ideal for bidding farewell to summer here, where the humidity is quite high.
