Descripción

Seemann Intense by Rammstein is an aromatic aquatic fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2022, this composition is signed by perfumer Alexandre Illan. It smells of the sea, but of an abandoned, nostalgic harbour where nature has already reclaimed the land. If it were cheesy, it would be like changing the black and white of the Seemann music video to blue and green tones. Within its collection, a great success for the less cold months.

It smells of the sea, but of an abandoned, nostalgic harbour where nature has already reclaimed the land. If you get too sentimental, it’s like changing the black and white of the Seemann music video to blue and green tones. Within its collection, a great success for the less cold months.

It gives me the sensation of being on a ship in the middle of the sea, but not on a holiday yacht; instead, there’s a nostalgic air. The initial citrus and salty opening could be a typical soulless aquatic fragrance, but then a note of algae and moss enters, which, if you’ve been in an old harbour, will make you feel like you’re in a place that has lost its splendour and now shines for its past. I tested it in an old harbour in my country full of algae, and it gives exactly the same sensation the perfume tries to replicate. Like other Rammstein scents I own, it’s conceptual but the most wearable. It’s not one of those desolate, deep-sea aquatic perfumes that overwhelm, like a Megamare or a Squid, but remains nostalgic, nothing beachy; it’s the scent that evokes a sailor returning to board. It lasts a solid six hours and shines in projection during the first hour; people immediately notice you’re wearing something new. Pros: Projects a lot and compliments truly come in; stands out as an aquatic scent and draws attention; it’s relatively affordable, offering an interesting summer fragrance for little money. Cons: In my country, Rammstein scents aren’t available, so if you don’t bring it on holiday, the price will break you; typical lack of versatility in aquatics; leaves a synthetic trail, especially in the opening, I imagine it uses calone and marine notes, but it’s very noticeable. Fragrance: 8/10 Longevity: 6/10 Projection: 7/10 Compliments: 8/10 Total: 7.2/10

It makes me feel on a ship out at sea, but without the holiday joy of a yacht; it has a nostalgic air. The initial citrus and salty opening could be a typical generic aquatic fragrance, but then a note of algae and moss enters, which, if you’ve been in an old harbour, will remind you of that past that no longer shines so brightly. I tested it in an old harbour in my country full of algae in the bay, and it gives exactly the sensation the perfume tries to replicate. Like other Rammstein scents I own, it’s a conceptual fragrance but the most wearable. It’s not one of those desolate, deep-sea aquatic perfumes that overwhelm, like a Megamare or a Squid from Zoologist, but evokes a sailor returning to board. It lasts a solid six hours and shines in projection during the first hour; people immediately notice you’re wearing something new. Pros: Projects a lot and compliments truly come in; stands out as an aquatic scent; it’s relatively affordable for a summer fragrance that presents itself as interesting. Cons: In my country, they aren’t available, so if you don’t bring it on holiday, the price will break you; typical lack of versatility in aquatics; leaves a synthetic trail, especially in the opening, I imagine it uses calone and it’s very noticeable.
