FOUND FEELINGS: Serenity is a fragrance that shouldn’t be judged solely on reviews; after spending a month and a half researching on Fragrantica and official sites with little information, I jumped in blindly based on the whisky and peach notes, trusting it was the best of the three. The first thing I notice is that the opening smells more of gin or raw vodka than whisky, mixed with a talc accord that lingers throughout. The peach is present, but not that dry, sweet tea flavour; instead, it feels synthetic, like cough syrup. At first, it overwhelms the nose and isn’t the best, but after an hour and continuing to wear it, the peach gains a creamy touch, reminiscent of those bulk peach yoghurt pots. That gives it a special character. Performance is good: it projects strongly for the first two hours until you’re saturated, but those close by can smell it. At conversation distance, it lasts another four hours, around six in total if you don’t overdo it. On clothes, it would last a full day if not exposed to heat and sweat. It smells very unisex, with an extra masculine touch, but don’t expect an alpha-male scent given the sweetness. It’s interesting, very talcky, with little evolution and an ‘am I loving it or hating it’ vibe. It feels informal and casual, less robust than the Intensity, so I wouldn’t use it to close deals. In heat, it’s a great ally for masking body odours, as the talc is potent (not powdery). It’s worth it for the price if you like talc and sweetness; otherwise, pass.
