Making the most of it: A delightful, robust fragrance with an elegance that makes it truly unique. It opens with an amber, leather, wood, and spice accord with a sweet touch; it has enough projection to fill a room without being intrusive. After ten minutes, coffee emerges, sparking curiosity, followed by a more pronounced nutmeg. In the dry down, the tonka bean and vanilla woods recall Rochas Moustache (drier) and BOSS Dark Blue (more aromatic), yet Intensity is sweeter and evolves better than them, which tend to flatten out. Lasts around four hours on skin, up to nine hours close to the skin, and slightly longer on clothes. Projection is excellent for the first hour at a metre’s distance, then settles to conversation length. It is versatile, suitable for day and night, in temperate climates, with a casual urban character that is modern yet features 80s and 90s vintage touches, even fitting formal occasions. It does not surprise too much, evoking a familiar olfactory memory from that era. I think it is ideal for those aged 30 to 50, given its mature character. The quality is evident, alcohol-free, housed in a round, clean, heavy, and minimalist bottle with a solid cap and a well-performing matte aluminium atomiser. My wife remarked it smelled of cinnamon and then like Christmas perfume due to the nutmeg. KC has successfully blended current trends with vintage notes to create something interesting, evolving, and robust at a good price.
