Simply Oud by Lattafa Perfumes is a Woody Oriental fragrance designed for women and men alike. The opening is spiced and bright, before the composition relaxes into flowers and mellow sweetness.
At its core is balance: an aromatic lift, a jasmine and rose heart touched with raspberry and praline, and a grounding base of amber, moss, musk and oud wood.
Cardamom and pepper lead the top. The effect is dry and aromatic with a mild peppery snap, lending freshness rather than sharpness.
The middle brings together jasmine, rose, raspberry and praline. Jasmine offers luminous white petals, rose a plush, rosy warmth, raspberry a juicy brightness, and praline a smooth, caramel-like sweetness that binds the florals.
Amber, moss, musk and oud wood form the base. Amber supplies warmth, moss a green, earthy undertow, musk a softening blur between stages, and oud wood a dark, resinous backbone.
Overall it presents as floral and white floral with roses to the fore, underpinned by amber, musky and mossy facets. Warm spice lingers into the drydown, fresh spice lifts the start, and a powdery veil leaves a neat, comforting trail.
