  I own it in my collection but stopped using it as it gives me headaches, something that didn’t happen at first. It’s curious because when I bought it, the shop had no testers, so I couldn’t try it on my skin to check its longevity and sillage… I definitely wouldn’t recommend it; it smells too much of lemon.

  True, it is sweeter than the classic while still resembling it. It has a faint scent of mint gum or rosemary, also reminiscent of soap or candle wax, as if it contained aldehydes… that galbanum gives it a sour touch that, like the classic version, makes it sweet-and-sour and animalic in a urinary, sweaty, yet sexy way, very masculine. At 31, I love it; I see it with black clothing and well-defined muscles, and freshly cut hair. This fragrance makes an incredible apology and homage to the barbershop, an excellent male ritual par excellence 💪🏻😏.

It has a faint menthol gum or pennyroyal note, also reminiscent of soap or candle wax, as if it contained aldehydes… that galbanum gives it a sour touch that, like the classic version, makes it bittersweet and animalic in a urinary, sweaty, yet sexy way, very masculine. At 31, I love it; I imagine it with black clothing and plenty of muscle, and freshly cut hair. This fragrance makes an incredible apology and homage to barbering, an excellent male ritual par excellence 💪🏻😏

  A classic, bold, and potent fragrance. Not for ‘old men’. It reminds me of the elegance and daring of Polo Green. It has the potential to be a signature scent, perhaps not ideal for summer. It’s quite strong at first, with a heavy, classic barbershop soap accord. My wife said it ‘smells like a man’. It’s a distinctive aroma, easy to wear, but not for everyone, nor do I expect many compliments. Scent: 9/10, Longevity: 10/10, Projection: 10/10. I experimented by mixing it equally with Humour Beijo (the original seemed too feminine); the result was excellent, adding a pineapple sweetness that made it quite pleasant, formal yet with a seductive-playful twist perfect for night dates.

  Very similar to the classic Mr N, but with an overload of patchouli and vetiver that makes it darker and heavier. It opens citrusy before settling into herbal and wet earth notes. Moderate trail and longevity. Not very versatile, yet people constantly ask what it is and praise it. Personally, I don’t feel drawn to wearing it.

  An olfactory gem! My girlfriend gifted it to me for my birthday, what a delightful surprise. At first, I admit, the opening is super strong and even invasive due to that patchouli and lavender. But as it evolves, it leaves a truly green and herbal sensation, finishing with a touch of vanilla that sweetens it slightly. The first time I tried it, it sounded incredibly vintage, like the perfumes of men from the past: those masculine and sturdy gentlemen. It is extremely masculine and definitely not for everyone; it steps out of the mould of today’s mass-produced scents. If you’re looking for compliments, this isn’t for you. It’s for enjoying on an autumn night or at a formal event where you have the right bearing (it works perfectly with formal or smart casual dress codes). The perfume is an extension of personality and definitely clicked with me. Very masculine.

It is perfect for enjoying on an autumn night or a formal occasion, provided you have the bearing to wear it (suitable for formal or smart-casual dress codes). It is an extension of one’s personality and definitely clicked with me. Very masculine.

Perhaps it won’t appeal to the masses who follow trends, but those who embrace vintage style (fashion, design, aesthetics) will adore it. If it doesn’t suit your personality, leave it, but one cannot deny its natural origin; there’s nothing overly chemical about it. It’s a fougère with just a touch of sweetness, presumably from the vanilla and cardamom. Ideal for semi-formal outings on fresh evenings and nights, nothing for extreme cold. On a hot day, it could become overwhelming if you pump it on too heavily.
