  1. I’ve been wanting to try this brand for ages, given all the hype it’s been getting lately. It’s been around in Chile for a while but never made much of a splash; I knew it from videos abroad and found it intriguing. Searching for iris-based scents, this Talco kept popping up. I looked at it with love in my eyes but never found it at a good price, until one day it appeared at a laughable price and I pounced. It smells exactly as described: talc, but velvety and silky. The opening has a slightly animalic touch from the musk and ylang-ylang which can be alarming at first, but then the rose and iris take over, turning it into a gorgeous baby powder scent that dries down soft and angelic. It can also remind you of soft white sheets, though for me it stays firmly as baby powder. There are deeper notes like tonka bean, amber, vanilla, and woods that simply provide support without being the stars; this perfume is far from sweet. Lasts about 6-7 hours on skin: a strong opening that fades to moderate before disappearing. Leaves a good trail and projects just enough to make people think you smell clean, not like a baby bottle. NOTE: this is for lovers of musky, powdery, and non-sweet scents; if you’re a fan of sweetness, steer clear as the realism might scare you. Do not buy blind!! Ig: @vale.perfumatica

  2. I’d been searching for this brand for ages, which has made such a noise. It arrived in Chile without much force; I knew it from videos abroad and found it interesting. I was looking for iris and this Talco always came up; I wanted it but not at a good price, until I saw it at a laughable price and grabbed it. It smells like the name: velvety, silky talc. At first, the opening with musk and ylang-ylang is a bit animalic and startling, but then the rose and iris take control, turning it into a lovely baby powder; when dry it’s soft and angelic. It also smells of soft white sheets, though for me it remains baby powder. It has a base of tonka bean, amber, vanilla, and woods that just support rather than lead, and it is far from sweet. Lasts around 6-7 hours on skin: a strong opening dropping to moderate before fading away. Leaves a good trail and projects just enough to make people think you smell clean, not like a nappy. Note: it’s for lovers of musky, powdery, and non-sweet scents; if you like sweet things, put it out of your mind as it is very realistic. Not for blind buying.

  3. The name says it all: pure baby powder. I’d wear it at home to feel powdered and clean, but not for going out. It doesn’t smell bad, but it’s not what I want to project.
