Honestly, it smells very masculine to me. The patchouli and other notes give it a distinctly manly, clean vibe with a hint of animalic character, if such a thing exists. I’d describe it as a fresh, balsamic patchouli with that slight animalic twist. Smelling it transports me back to eighties perfumes, like a modernised version of those classics. I can easily picture myself wearing it to a nightclub in 1984.
I feel let down, especially since I already knew how it would smell after reading the brand’s advertising. I find nothing sexual about the scent, nor have I noticed any women smelling it on me. Perhaps this fragrance fares poorly in that regard compared to others that do possess a more alluring quality. I’d describe it as a slightly dark fougère (not overly green) that has been sweetened a touch. It doesn’t smell dirty, animalic, musky, ambergris-like, or salty. As for longevity, it’s the worst in the range: it doesn’t last, lacks projection, and fails to impress even when compared to a standard designer fragrance.
