  1. I know neither Isola Blu nor Oligarch, but this one hasn’t fully convinced me. Never buy blind, not even if the notes are your favourites. I have a personal rejection of bitter scents, but it’s subjective. As a fragrance, it’s very good, though it lacks punch. The longevity is good, but the projection leaves much to be desired. I’m letting it macerate because it lacks strength and always stays close to the skin. It’s very much in the style of Terre d’Hermès, a scent I always get tired of smelling. Hopefully I change my mind one day, but for now, it remains an DNA I don’t get along with. In terms of aroma, it’s citrusy, bitter, with sweet touches, quite ambered and woody. I can’t rate it objectively because personally I don’t like it (others do). Update 2025: finally tried Isola Blu by Roja Dove. I was blown away; the Dua version is identical. I have no words; it’s almost a 99% clone. The 1% difference is that it’s slightly more linear. But what does it matter? Side by side, they are the same. The mid-stage, trail, and longevity are identical. Perhaps they use some form of chromatography, because otherwise, there is no other way. Aroma: 7/10 Longevity: 5/10 Projection: 5/10 Trail: 5/10 Value for money: 1/10 Blind buy: 3/10 Versatility: 4/10 Season: fresh and temperate climates. More for night outs.

  3. It smells amazing on me, although I don’t remember the original well, only that I love the Isola Blu line. I’m going to try to get a decant of Isola because Oligarch is almost impossible to track down. Update: I’ve updated it now.

  4. In my opinion, it smells muuuuch too good. I don’t remember much about the original (I only recall loving Isola Blu). I’ll try to get a decant of Isola since Oligarch is practically impossible to find, and I’ll update later.
