This fragrance on my skin smells like furniture polish and incense. It also reminds me of some kind of room air freshener. My perfume ignorance probably prevents me from appreciating it, but it seems a bit crude to me. I detect moss, moss, moss…, ferns and fig. The florals on me are fleeting. Well, and that slight paraffin smell with hints of ammonia that I sense… they say ‘this isn’t for you’.
On my skin, this smells like furniture polish and incense, as if it were a room freshener. Perhaps my lack of knowledge prevents me from appreciating it, but it sounds like a rough scent to me. I detect moss, moss, moss, ferns, and fig, while the flowers disappear quickly. That paraffin and ammonia note I pick up screams: ‘this isn’t for you’.
The New Paradise is a creamy green fig scent with occasional floral and musky notes, making it pleasant and long-lasting. In the style of Monegal, it evolves little, staying rather clean and reminiscent of other figs on the market, which takes away a bit of its original freshness. It’s unisex and perfect for hot weather; it’s not the revolutionary paradise I expected, but it works well as a fragrance that many might enjoy. Rating: 7/10
The New Paradise is a good fig perfume in its green and occasionally creamy facet, with a slightly floral and musky accompaniment. It offers good performance and is quite pleasant to wear. Like most Monegal creations, I perceive it as fairly linear (it only evolves a little towards a cleaner scent). It can resemble many other fig perfumes on the market, losing a bit of originality despite its good quality. Perfectly unisex and suitable for hot weather, this The New Paradise is not the innovative paradise I expected, but it performs very well as an aroma that can be quite liked.
