Descripción
The One Mysterious Night by Dolce&Gabbana is a spicy oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, this composition features a structured olfactory pyramid in three stages: the top notes unfold saffron and tangerine; the heart reveals a harmony of rose, oud wood, and heliotrope; while the base settles on amber, precious woods, labdanum, and tonka bean, signed by the Italian fashion house.

Oriental fragrance with a rose and saffron opening. To my nose, it’s not that typical ‘metallic’ rose; the grapefruit takes the weight off. The oud is imperceptible; I know it’s synthetic, but not in a bad way. In the base, the woods don’t dominate; tonka is the queen. It’s rich, balanced, unisex and intimate. It doesn’t project much: on my skin it makes a one-metre bubble for the first two hours and then stays close to the skin after four. It didn’t surprise me, but it’s not normal either. There are few designer fragrances with this style. I liked it.
Incredible quality fragrance; anyone would think it’s niche. You can tell from the very first second: it starts with a very soft saffron, then moves to the rose, VERY prominent and long-lasting. It has a very good trail, although if you’re not careful, it invades a bit. Just one detail: the rose is so present that it gives it a more feminine touch, so for my nose and my partner’s, it’s totally unisex. I was lucky with the luxury 10ml set. Try it if you can get hold of it. Quality 10/10, Scent 9/10, Projection 8/10. Lasts about 9-10 hours on skin and more than 24 on clothes.
I didn’t like it at all. I expected something bolder. It turns out to be an extremely feminine unisex, made for ladies over 60. If the ingredients explode, it smells like brand new baby nappies mixed with a cinnamon candle. Seriously, the packaging is very misleading.
What a joy, what a shame D&G hasn’t released this here. They tire us out with replicas that last a mere breath just to take our money. Tremendous perfume: rose and oud with saffron, all very well blended and top quality. The oud is soft and adds class. As it dries, the rose oxidises and leaves a smoky, amber base where it settles. It’s not quite the same as the original The One, though the dry-down has its charms; it differs quite a bit. Very elegant, lasts a long time and projects strongly for the first hour. The bottle is beautiful. It resembles Carolina Herrera Insignia more than Toy Boy. The only flaw is the price and that it’s hard to come by, although you can find it in the Middle East duty-free, and the 100ml size makes it very desirable.
Great perfume. It’s not linear; it has three well-defined phases. It’s a very wearable oud. I don’t feel it’s feminine as some say. Excellent purchase.

How delicious! A masculine, woody, powdery, and very oriental aroma. For romantic dates, cool nights, and close encounters, this is a 10/10. The rose-oud combo is easy to wear, so 100% recommended (don’t buy blindly). Longevity and projection are above average: 8 hours and a half an hour. Score: 8.8/10.
If you like this fragrance and don’t have it because it’s discontinued, don’t worry; you have Lattafa Rouat al Oud which is almost the same and performs and projects better than this. I have both and they are very similar, almost a clone.
Indeed, it resembles Rouat, but this one is drier, more powdery, and smells more elegant. They are similar, but not an exact clone.
Don’t buy blindly. At first, it smells of a very strong rose, like those rosaries for prayer, and over time it moves towards an amber note with some tonka. It has good projection and longevity, around 8 hours.
An Arabised D&G fragrance that won’t suit everyone; I recommend testing before buying blindly. It’s based on a rose I’d say is totally unisex. Rose fragrances are usually feminine, but they can work for certain men. If you like Moschino Toy Boy, you’ll like this too, and better, in my opinion. They’ve made it ‘digestible’ for men with the saffron and a soft, domesticated oud. It’s rare and niche, hard to find in the West. Lasts 6-7 hours with a good trail. It’s for cold weather, elegant and for night.

If you enjoy collecting fragrances, this is unique and already discontinued. At first, it smells of grapefruit and incense with roses in the heart, its strong points. Once it settles, it’s rose with a sweet touch of amber. It has a brutal trail and longevity; two or three applications are more than enough. The best part is that when you smell it, you imagine a crown of red roses with a masculine touch, something very hard to find. Only for an elegant, soft, and daring man, for night or cold weather.
What a beautiful perfume, from the box to the scent, everything is perfect. The rose and oud constantly vie for dominance. Longevity is impressive, with moderate projection and trail. Suitable only for elegant occasions, not for others. Ideal for winter nights or mid-seasons. Try it before buying; I wouldn’t recommend it to those under 35.
I was missing a perfume like this; it’s not a disappointment but not what I expected, and I think that’s positive. 1. I agree with whoever said it’s a battle between the oud and the rose: I feel it’s very masculine and I like it. The opening doesn’t smell much of grapefruit, but it’s there. In the end, on my skin, the vanilla and tonka bean are more noticeable than the oud, though very subtle. 2. I thought it would be an atomic bomb because of the oud and roses, but it’s more like a personal one-metre bubble. 3. The longevity is just a little above average. With these ingredients, one expects 8-12 hours, but I think it lasts about 6, perhaps 7 if applied well. I liked it, I recommend it even though they don’t sell it in my country, Panama, and I bought it as a tester (perhaps the scent changed due to transport). I give it 8.5/10.
I was looking for an olfactory experience like this and it wasn’t a disappointment, although I didn’t expect quite so much. It’s a battle between oud and rose; I find it very masculine and like it. The grapefruit comes through faintly but is there, and at the end, vanilla/tonka bean wins, very subtly. I thought it would be a bomb due to the oud and roses, but it’s a personal bubble of about a metre. The longevity is just above average: around 6 or 7 hours, not the 8-12 you might expect. I liked it, I recommend it even though I haven’t bought it in Panama; I got it as a tester (perhaps transport altered it slightly). I give it 8.5/10.
A curious fragrance. On my skin, it starts with grapefruit, then shifts to rose which dominates throughout and is very intense. The oud is present but wearable, though it does add a bit of weight; I’d probably only wear it three times. It seems unisex, in fact, an older lady could wear it.
