  • I must admit I haven’t enjoyed any Penhaligon’s fragrances, which is a shame as I would have loved to own one of those lovely bottles. I thought TWATA would appeal to me as it seemed spiced and warm in the bottle, but on the skin it wasn’t spiced, just warm, and I didn’t like it at all. On the opening, I detected tonka bean with incense and lightly wrapped in vanilla, but for me, the fragrance turned into an intense tonka bean and incense scent that I couldn’t bear to wear. Rating: 6/10.

  • I must say I haven’t liked any Penhaligon’s fragrances, and it’s a pity because I would have loved to own one of those lovely bottles. I thought TWATA would suit me because seeing it in the bottle it looked spiced and warm, but on my skin it wasn’t spiced, just warm, and I didn’t like it at all. In the opening I noticed tonka bean with incense and light vanilla, but for me it turned into an intense tonka bean and incense perfume that I couldn’t stand. Rating: 6/10.

I consider it not for everyone; you need to like incense to handle the opening. After a few hours, everything changes; I doubt anyone would say it doesn’t smell exquisite, but you have to wait a few hours for it to happen. The first two hours can be tricky if you don’t like incense. I love it, so today is one of the ones I use most, and it has earned me the most compliments.

  • Normally incense notes come with pepper and are sharp, but here it goes with vanilla, softer, slightly sweet and wearable, not bothersome on hot days. I would have loved for it to last and project more. I got lucky with it and it made me addicted to the incense note.

  • Certainly special for incense and vanilla lovers. The opening is very strong with intense incense notes. The first few seconds upon application remind me of stepping into a wooden booth with antique furniture. After a few minutes, the dry-down is super sweet, revealing a potent and long-lasting vanilla. In short, it’s not for everyone, but it is for the bold who enjoy vanilla.

  • Certainly a special perfume for lovers of incense and vanilla. The opening is very strong with intense incense notes; the first few seconds after spraying remind me of stepping into a wooden booth filled with antique furniture. After a few minutes, the dry-down becomes super sweet, revealing a potent and lasting vanilla. In summary, it’s not for everyone, but perfect for the bold who enjoy vanilla.

  • I bought it for the incense note and I don’t have anything else in my collection with that touch, and I have no regrets. It’s incredible, lasting 12 hours or more, and sometimes it gets impregnated on other clothes. The vanilla is sweet but not cloying; perhaps it’s the incense or the tonka bean, which also has a woody note, making it light and elegant. I wear it every day without feeling it’s heavy. I have absolutely no regrets. It reminds me of a church or an antique shop; I think if the Wandering Castle existed, it would smell like this.

I cannot fathom why Changing Constance lacks more fame when this fragrance surpasses it by a mile. Recommended by a duty-free seller in Brazil, as I had no idea it existed, it was love at first sniff. I adore this scent: warm and sweet without being cloying, vanilla-infused and spiced with a perfect incense that is both enveloping and delicate. Worth every dollar ♥

I don’t understand why it doesn’t have the reputation it deserves, as it far surpasses Changing Constance. Thanks to the duty-free seller in Brazil who recommended it, I didn’t know it existed, and it was love at first sniff. I adore it: warm, sweet but not cloying, spiced vanilla with a perfect incense, enveloping and delicate. Worth every dollar.

  • Truth be told, it lasts well and is lovely, though it doesn’t have much of a trail. I really like it.

  • Smells fantastic: a tonka bean and vanilla blend with incense that is neither heavy nor cloying. Soft and inoffensive. It has nothing to do with BabyCat; the YSL version has suede and creamy vanilla, whereas this is more subtle, with a less smoky incense. Lasts 6–7 hours, with a shy projection, ideal for intimate wear. Scent: 8.5/10. Longevity: 7/10h. Projection: 6/10. Versatility: 7/10.

  • A very nice aroma, a blend of tonka bean, vanilla, and incense. It doesn’t feel heavy or cloying; I find it softer and safer, unlikely to overwhelm anyone. I don’t see any resemblance to BabyCat: YSL’s has a distinct suede note and creamy vanilla, whereas this has a more subtle vanilla and a more wearable, less smoky incense. The longevity isn’t exceptional but is sufficient, lasting around 6-7 hours, though the projection is a little shy; it’s more of an intimate scent for oneself or close companions. Scent: 8.5/10. Longevity: 7/10h. Projection: 6/10. Versatility: 7/10.
