Descripción
Vibrant Leather Elixir by Zara is a fragrance from the leather olfactive family for men. This creation, launched in 2025, is presented as a new addition to the collection. Its olfactive pyramid unfolds with bergamot and lemon in the top note, with a touch of acidic lime that provides immediate freshness. The heart of the composition reveals leather, establishing the main identity of the fragrance. To finish, the base notes combine Egyptian papyrus and patchouli, closing the structure with a distinctive earthy elegance.

Despite the negative reviews, on my skin it works quite well. It’s not a bomb, so I partially agree with the disappointed ones, but it lasts about 5-6 hours. It’s more potent than the original and yes, I quite like it. Given what’s happened, it’s essential to test before buying to verify the performance on your own skin.
A good product in itself, but a disappointment regarding its name and hype. Don’t be fooled by the notes: here the leather doesn’t dominate. If you wanted a Vibrant Leather with leather, that was the Extreme. This is just a VL that’s more citrusy on the opening and with extra longevity. It improves the performance, but it’s not a beast as you might think. To be honest, the VB Elixir line was one of the most disappointing of this year, especially because they sell them more expensive and due to the hype of the name. Unfortunately, it’s just a marketing ploy; nowadays any perfume has ‘Elixir’ on the box as an excuse to charge more. A more appropriate name would have been ‘Intense’.
I was sitting on a bench in the centre of Santiago and at the other end sat a man in his fifties with an exquisite trail. I loved his perfume, I couldn’t resist my curiosity and asked him what he was wearing; he took this fragrance out of his rucksack. I loved it, it’s super masculine and reminded me of another old perfume, but I don’t know which one. Definitely I’m going to gift it.
Despite reading many negative reviews, it truly works on my skin. It’s not a bomb, so I understand the disappointed ones, but it lasts about 5 or 6 hours. It feels more potent than the original and I’ve really enjoyed it. The best advice is to try it before buying to see how it performs on your skin.
I tested it two or three weeks ago at 15 degrees: basically the same as the original Vibrant Leather, perhaps a touch more herbal as it dries and an extra hour of longevity. Today I tested it again at 22 degrees with 60% humidity and was surprised by how disastrous the performance was: with the slightest sweat it deactivates, as if its oxidation accelerates. The initial sparkling phase lasted 15 minutes and then faded to the skin, losing the herbal tone quickly. In under an hour you have to reapply it, and from the hour onwards it’s almost imperceptible. A genuine performance disaster. For that, buy Yodeyma Active Man, which projects more than the original and costs less than the Elixir.
Much better performance than the regular version. Worth using this edition.
Much better performance than the standard version. Worth using this edition.
It leans more towards Hacivat than towards Aventus. It performs better than the original, without being a miracle. I get four hours of personal bubble with about half an hour of trail from arm’s length; right up against the skin it can last a couple of hours more. I think 5€ less is its fair price for what it offers.
I’ve sprayed it twice on my skin. It’s the familiar Vibrant Leather with an extra kick of sharp, almost metallic citrus. That’s the only difference I notice. Ideal for everyday wear and perfect for hot weather.
Almost identical to the original VL, though here there’s a hint of ambroxan that gives it a slightly dirty nuance, far less aggressive than the Arab Aventus clones. It’s a classic, exquisite scent that needs no description. The interesting thing is that there’s now a 150ml version. I bought the 100ml and the traditional 150ml at the same price to compare; on the opening, this one feels stronger and lasts an hour longer. Although its performance is poor and some people dislike having to reapply, I approve of it. But I still prefer the original VL: it’s more vibrant, sparkling and clean. These are subtle nuances, but once you know them, they stand out. In the end, it’s not all about duration, trail or maximum projection.
Very good trail. It is the flanker of Vibrant Leather with patchouli. Simple, sweet, leather. Good for a signature fragrance, bordering on generic, but it has a very good aroma. And it has that intensity of the concentrated pineapple-leather accord combination, not so citrusy. I liked the longevity more than the original, although it is not as fresh, more versatile, and with a moderate trail.
Tested with two sprays on skin. It’s the classic Vibrant Leather with an extra kick of sharp, almost metallic citrus. That’s the only difference I notice. Ideal for everyday wear and perfect for warm climates.
I’ll keep it simple: excellent woody citrus, very, very similar to Creed Aventus. It always performs above eight hours; people notice this perfume, very good projection. People without asking for my opinion have told me: “you smell like a man” (haha). Simple fragrance but very fulfilling. In terms of woody citrus, it is among the best in my opinion regarding quality-price. Super versatile fragrance for warm climates. 100% recommended.
This, gentlemen, is the same thing but amplifying all its notes. Let me explain: the VL EDP version is more contained; here we find exactly the same thing but turned up a notch in every aspect. It is sweeter obviously because that “fruity” sensation is more potent. It is in the dry-down where I find a slight but almost imperceptible change: the citrus buzzes with more force throughout the life of the perfume, whereas the other EDP softened quite a bit, revealing a slight and soft leather. If I had to choose between this and the classic, I choose the Elixir. On my skin it lasts perfectly for six long hours, reaching eight on occasions (depending on the weather). I specify that I have oily skin and in my case it helps them last a bit longer. People say it lasts six hours, but for what it costs it is a great fragrance. This definitely (although not declared in its notes) contains ambroxan.
It is exactly as defined: the same Vibrant Leather of old with an ultra-citrus opening. To my taste, it is cloying and insidious, as it has memories of the Cruz Verde mosquito repellent. The longevity is excellent, and if you don’t dislike that bizarre opening, it is a perfect option for those who don’t work well with the original. I still stick with the pillar of the line with which I have no issues regarding longevity or sillage. Of the flankers, I only consider Summer Breeze interesting, as well as the discontinued Summer of 2020.
Honestly, I only smell metal; every time my father uses it, it is not a good experience to smell it.
I loved this perfume; the EDP version is very similar, almost identical, and I like it a lot. With this one, despite having similar projection and longevity, it has slightly more of both and feels fuller-bodied overall. The Aventus DNA is one of my favourites in perfumery, and this is too similar; I love it.
I know Creed Aventus and indeed they have a similar DNA. I liked this perfume for daily wear. Recently I used it for an outdoor meal and felt the bursts of its scent; it projected quite well for two and a half hours and then settled on the skin until reaching ten hours. I clarify that it was not a very hot day, but rather cool. It is a simple, friendly, and easy-to-use perfume in almost any situation. My wife liked it. I have only used it twice and it hasn’t generated compliments yet, but I believe at some point it will, as it is a pleasant but extremely well-known scent by most.
To have the name “Elixir” I expected something more. It is not a bad fragrance so as not to be disheartened, and I believe it will serve and please most people, especially as a blind buy. It is a shower gel-type aroma, refreshing, with hints of Creed Aventus in the base (refreshing pineapple), masculine, but there are many inspirations at this price that are worth trying. Tested in heat, it lasts 6-7 hours with medium projection.
It is a total flanker with more body than the classic VL. It has more woods with a subtle patchouli base. Perhaps it lacks the trail, projection, or longevity of the Club de Nuit beasts, but it feels less strident in its synthetic notes. I don’t know which Club de Nuit it is, but there is one out there that stands out with an extremely irritating synthetic component.
Hello, I picked this one up for €19.90 for 100ml, and out of the entire Vibrant Leather line, this is my absolute favourite; if I had to choose just one, it would be this. The versions with oud sound good on paper, but they don’t work on my skin, so I can’t compare them fairly. Within the range, I think this is the most suitable as a signature scent: it works all year round, with less application in summer and in winter at night by increasing the sprays without issue. It’s not invasive; the citrus accord is noticeable with a very subtle leather base, which is very pleasant. If you compare it with the Club de Nuit (which many will), this is less synthetic and less brash; the Zara version, at least this iteration, follows a more elegant line. On dry skin, it lasts about four and a half hours at most, and twice as long on clothes. For reference: the regular Vibrant Leather doesn’t last me even two hours (very poor in my case), and the Extreme does last about six, but it becomes too sharp and irritating. That said, calling a fragrance with discreet longevity an “Elixir” still seems odd to me; one would expect higher concentration, but that’s not the case (and this is what too many brands do). Honestly, I would have called it Zara Vibrant Leather Office. Would I recommend it? Yes.
