It gives me a bit of a whiplash; it’s far too potent and strong for me, something I’ve never experienced with perfumes before. Perhaps it’s that very marked fig opening note, as I barely detect the blackcurrant at first. It’s quite linear, but lasts a long time due to its depth. It might suit others better, but I prefer it after 30-45 minutes, once it softens and the fig stops stinging. In my opinion, what stands out most is the fig, the grass, and the pine.

Just my opinion: this perfume is beautiful; I’m utterly fascinated by it. It’s the most lovely scent I’ve tried so far. In fact, I adore all of Jo Malone’s fragrances, and I could easily mistake this for another from the same line. This one in particular is fig and blackcurrant made into perfume, supremely delicate, with a velvety softness of woods and a very subtle hint of herbs. It’s a cologne, nothing penetrating or overwhelming; it’s simply exquisite.
