Comfortable, versatile and easy-to-wear fragrance. Pierre Montale with Wild Fruits shows the quality of Mancera; it has an ‘ease’ of scent that contrasts with other more complex creations from the brand. It starts with masterfully achieved citrus, highlighting the kumquat that gives it a distinguished touch. Floral, fruity and citrus heart, slightly woody base. Excellent performance for summer, around eight hours. The best: its opening. Some say it’s a mix of Silver Mountain Water and Milestone Imperial by Creed. I agree, especially with SMW, but more for summer.

  • Super fresh fragrance, citrusy with a woody base. Its great asset is the fruity touch mixed with that musky air and that violet that never fails to give it a sophisticated touch. It’s peculiarly comfortable and unique, reminding me of nothing in my collection. Moderate trail, perhaps wider in the heat, but never invasive. Longevity of about seven hours. It brings me sweet childhood memories, I don’t know exactly which fruit, but it’s a very interesting tropical fusion. I feel it neutral, not very manly nor very fem, but to me, being a woman, I’m fascinated.

Brutal fragrance, with a top citrus opening. It doesn’t project much, but it lasts all day. It smells like those lemon and orange sweets sold in shops, super elegant. It looks incredible on a man, although I see it as more masculine.

  • Nothing wonderful, neither in scent nor longevity nor trail. For that price, better buy any dupe of Light Blue; it will be better money spent.

  • Totally masculine, nothing unisex. I bought a decant and it was money wasted; I can’t wear it because it’s too masculine and doesn’t suit me. Although it’s not a bad fragrance, the citrus are strong, like a over-ripe lemon. Would I buy it? Of course not.

  • My favourite summer scent: a citrus opening that is nothing like strident; I feel a sweet orange followed by the bitterness of grapefruit. It’s musky with a touch of wood. I love it; on my skin it has excellent fixation and trail.

  • I resisted buying Wild Fruits by Mancera because, living in Tenerife, I can’t try before buying and the only perfumerie is 80 km away. I always make blind purchases. I read it leaned towards masculine and the woody notes were strong, but I saw Kari Dil say it didn’t seem masculine to her at all and she has it. After thinking it over, I saw a good deal and decided to take the risk. When I received it, to my surprise and joy, it didn’t seem masculine to me at all. To my nose, it’s a very pleasant fruity citrus. It seems soft at first, but persists on the skin. I love reapplying it every hour to refresh myself. In short, it has pleasantly surprised me. One must take into account that perceptions depend on personal experiences. According to the notes, it doesn’t seem masculine: citrus opening with kumquat, lemon and grapefruit; fruity heart with blackcurrant, peach, apple and violet; base of white musk and cedar. Personally I don’t perceive the cedar and the violet, which are the ones that could give it a masculine character. What I notice is the rest, especially the fruits like the apple and the citrus, which give it a sweet and refreshing touch.

  • It took me a lot of deciding to go for Wild Fruits by Mancera; living in Tenerife, I can’t try it before buying as the only shop is eighty miles away and I always have to do it blind. I read it was masculine with heavy wood, but I saw that Kari Dil loved it. After thinking it over and spotting a deal, I decided to take the plunge. Upon receiving it, I was surprised: to my nose, it’s a very pleasant fruity citrus. It seems soft at first but persists; I love reapplying it every hour to refresh myself. In short, I’ve loved it. I clarify that perceptions vary according to personal experiences: the notes list citrus, blackcurrant, peach, apple, violet, musk and cedar. I don’t detect the cedar or the violet, which usually sound masculine, but rather the fruits and citrus that give it a sweet and fresh touch.

A unisex fragrance that, in my opinion, leans more towards the masculine side; it reminds me of a fine, luxury aftershave. The citrus notes are very potent and intense. Longevity on the skin is moderate to low, reaching a maximum of around four hours. I think it would suit a man better, with that youthful, fresh yet elegant vibe.
