I won the Cinematic Infusions Discovery set from Fragantica and I’m absolutely thrilled; I’d been dying to try them, and since they don’t ship outside the US on their website, this golden ticket is a real treat 🙌. First review ever, so I’ll do my best to make it count. Wonka: it’s incredibly intense! As the advertising suggests, nothing about it is subtle. It’s sweet, but what really stands out is how acidic and sharp it smells, far more so than sweet. Seeing the bottle and the name makes you imagine CHOCOLATE in capital letters, but that’s not what it’s about :’. It initially smells of pineapple, coconut, and cotton candy; unfortunately, these notes dominate almost the entire time, while the chocolate is present but heavily camouflaged by them. If I had to define it in one word: brash. I expected it to be different; I thought the top notes would fade quickly, but they didn’t. All in all, it smells like walking into Willy Wonka’s factory, except they also manufacture bulk cotton candy and piña coladas 🍹xD. I suppose it’s better than just smelling of chocolate, as it’s more original. I’m not sure if I like it, to be honest; I’d say I probably don’t 🙄🤔. Long-lasting without much sillage, leaning towards masculine unisex due to a certain note, though I’m not sure if it’s ambroxan.
