Woodstock, the legendary 60s event, is the inspiration behind Boclet: music, peace and art. The citrus notes aren’t sour; instead, they offer a sweet, soft, almost bitter-holding hesperic opening, thanks to the blend of nuts, cannabis, apricot and wild flowers. In the mid-stage, osmanthus and ylang-ylang take centre stage with a medicinal-cosmetic touch that doesn’t cloy. Dry down is sweet, floral, sandalwood-like and lightly woody. I imagine the hippie narrative of the first Woodstock: sex, drugs, rock and roll, flowers, herbs and good vibes. If you can’t stand florals, there’s plenty here. The longevity is more than sufficient.
