I bought it on the strength of good reviews, and upon trying it, it reminded me of something I used to wear. It’s warm and citrusy, but over time it leaves a sweet base. At first, it’s a bit strong and lasts quite a while. If you like potent fragrances, this is your option.
I’m testing it on a cold autumn day. At first, it smells sweet, similar to Kriska Alegria, like an enveloping vanilla with soft citrus notes that come out more as it dries down. It’s not a dupe of Black Opium, though they could be cousins. Ideal for everyday wear in autumn and winter; in summer, I find myself overheating with the sweetness. If you like Prada Candy, Kriska, or Black Opium, you might just love this.
Why are they always compared to Black Opium? They don’t even remotely resemble each other. This is citrusy, fresh, and powdery, perfect for summer. There’s no trace of those gourmand coffee or praline notes the descriptions claim. Ignore the listed notes and just try it to see if you like it.
