I’m going to go a bit over the top, but I’ll try to describe this wonder so you can picture it: it’s like being in a bath filled with expensive shower gel foam, situated in a Menorca cove with calm seas, the cliffs, and that Mediterranean vegetation, with a very present soapy touch. I think the creator, being peaceful, wanted to convey tranquility and calm, rather than the ocean itself, as there isn’t much of that here. It’s a posh perfume, of white loafers, of a yacht in the Mediterranean, of Rafa Nadal, and of a linen shirt. I’m blown away. The performance is excellent; the bottle is spectacular but very unergonomic, which is its only flaw. Mare Pacifico.

A find from Linari Finest Fragrances in Germany, a little-known brand but of great quality. Mare Pacifico is aquatic, green, and woody, very elegant. It starts green and salty with a slightly bitter citrus base. The potency reminds me of Nishane EGE, although Mare Pacifico does have that salty and green touch that EGE lacks, as the latter is more floral and oriental. If you’re looking for that aquatic and salty line, this is your option. The projection is excellent; at first, I didn’t notice it much, but on two outings with friends, when I got in the car, everyone said it smelled like perfume and that it was rich. It’s for enjoying in solitude, with exquisite packaging: box and bottle featuring a 21-karat platinum wash and a modern wavy design. It smells like dreaming of the sea, of coastal mist and seaweed, seasoned with sea salt on a spring afternoon. Elegant, a winner, and seductive. I see it as more masculine, unlike EGE which is unisex. Ideal for 28+, informal with a linen shirt in the Mediterranean or semi-formal. I was very surprised, it’s worth trying. Scent 9/10, Sillage 8.5/10, Projection 8.5/10, Longevity 8.5/10.
