Drago Nero is a truly special fragrance. For me, it has three main protagonists: pineapple, clove, and ambergris, wrapped in secondary notes that add nuance, density, and complexity. Apple, iris, orange blossom, vetiver, and especially sandalwood as it dries, give this Mark Buxton creation a special quality, and I find myself liking this perfumer more every day. I understand the comparisons with Aventus, but be aware they are very different compositions: Drago Nero is far more spicy, dense, and evolving. Beyond the pineapple, apple, and ambergris, the scents are totally different. This Drago Nero performs well on my skin (around eight hours) with moderate projection and trail. It’s worth noting that it’s one of the fragrances people ask about most, so if you enjoy compliments, this is a great choice. Highly recommended for spring, summer, and autumn; for winter, I see more suitable options in this type of aroma. Alongside Mare Pacifico and Notte Bianca, it’s my favourite from the house.
