  Mine came out dry and citrusy, nothing invasive and very pleasant, with a feminine air. It’s very persistent, like all of Carolina Herrera’s, perfect for an autumn day.

  Very sweet and cloying, so strong it gave me a headache. It’s for people who like to smell overly perfumed; I didn’t like it at all.

  Central Park smells like an idealised spring afternoon in New York, slightly twee and perfect, with nothing real of the city. It’s intense, with creamy jasmine and orange blossom, juicy plum, and a musk dry-down that smells like freshly cut grass. The bottle looks like a caricature picnic basket. It’s cloying, linear and lacks magic, just stacked notes. It lasts quite a while and leaves a trail, but it doesn’t surpass other classics from the brand.

  Central Park smells like an idealised spring afternoon, with a hint of orange blossom and creamy jasmine blended with juicy plum and a musky finish reminiscent of freshly cut grass. The bottle looks like a caricature picnic basket, very sugary and dreamy, like those cloying depictions of the ‘American Dream’. It’s intense, dense and a bit overwhelming indoors; linear and heterogeneous, where you can detect all the notes separately rather than as a harmonious blend. Although it lasts quite a while, it fails to surpass the legacy of Carolina Herrera 212 or the quality of the original, which truly captures that haute couture essence.
