At first it seems like a shy, cute kitten, but as you get closer, it reveals itself as a majestic puma marking its territory. Although it’s not my favourite, it’s impossible to forget; it’s an experience that captivates and drags you into its world. I’m surprised that a 2015 fragrance has so much soul, and I know I’ll return to it. Thanks JerryDrake.
I’ve been hooked since the first spray. Although citrus notes don’t always suit me, this one does. What I notice most is the caramel and vanilla with spices like cardamom and ginger, over a base of cedar and musk. It might resemble Devotion by D&G, but the vanilla here isn’t cloying unless you overapply it. If you like the vanilla-caramel combo, give it a try. Thanks @jerrydrake for the sample.
It begins as a lemon and ginger caramel, then dries down to a sweet, spiced vanilla, perfectly balanced without being cloying, with cedar adding depth. It doesn’t smell quite as much like Lira or L by Lolita because it’s toned down on the spices. Compared to Bake or Devotion, it’s more delicate in the citrus notes. It has moderate sillage and lasts over 12 hours on my skin. Excellent value for money to have a warm vanilla in your collection. Scent 8.5/10, longevity 10/10. Thanks to @JerryDrake for the sample.
There’s real Boclet quality behind the name. On a rainy day, its opening of lime, grapefruit and ginger lifts your spirits. That initial phase doesn’t last long, but it’s worth it. Then it transforms into a beautiful vanilla that dances with the citrus without overpowering it. The balsamic cardamom appears as a friendly greeting, and when the cedar arrives, the scent becomes woody and dark, giving a sense of security. It’s soft, present, and has perfect sillage. A simple yet effective formula that shows the care Frank Boclet puts into his work.
