I picked this up as a tester and it’s already a love: a lovely vanilla that sweetens that floral bouquet. The musk and amber seal the deal, making it addictive on my skin. What a pity this is the last one, as it has been discontinued for years.
I’m a Lalique fan and I was obsessed with finding it; it had been out of production for years. Thanks to second-hand sellers, I managed to get it sealed. What a beauty! Very similar to the discontinued Beyond Paradise by Estée Lauder: exotic white flowers, vanilla, and soft woods. A clean, feminine scent evoking distant paradises—that tropical concept from 20 years ago, nothing like today’s sweet and fruity trends. Originally it had a blue juice, but over time and with the vanilla oxidation, it now reaches a bourbon colour, in perfect condition with the scent intact. It’s soft, elegant, and delicate, in the line of Guerlain’s Insolence. Ideal for heat and autumn. Since it hasn’t been reformulated, its longevity and performance are impressive. I wish current perfumery would return to having jewels like this.
