Aspire Impress by Avon

It’s absolutely knocked my socks off. I picked it up blindly for a steal of a price and the scent hit me instantly. It’s a sweet, incredibly wearable amber, reminiscent of Clinique’s Happy but sweeter, with that amber note the original lacks. I’ll be wearing this all spring because it’s so light; the trail is airy and doesn’t suffocate in the heat. I love wearing it, and for the price, it’s madness how good it smells. Avon keeps surprising me.

I wore Olympea Intense casually yesterday and loved it; today, while dusting off my wardrobe, I found this Aspire Impress again which I never paid much attention to. Smelling it from the atomiser, surprise! It seemed like a softer version of Olympea Intense. And yes, upon applying it, I confirmed they follow the same white floral-amber line. Although Olympea Intense doesn’t declare fruits, it always has something sharp and fruity to me, which aligns well with this fragrance: Aspire Impress has that fruity acidity in the opening but is amber from start to finish. It’s intense, but in a somewhat fleeting way as it fades quickly. Also, how good that it lacks vanilla notes, which make Olympea Intense much sweeter; that’s the only thing missing for it to be a perfect dupe, but they are very, very similar. I used to feel that similarity with Alien due to the jasmine and amber, but for me, it’s very close to Olympea Intense and that’s my final verdict. I bought it at launch price two years ago; it saddens me not to have bought more as prices went through the roof in Argentina; now it’s not worth spending on.

What a lovely Avon fragrance. I picked it up for the price and it was a total success. Good quality and serves for everything. Very versatile, it doesn’t shout but isn’t overlooked: ideal for the office, going shopping, or open spaces. Perfect for sunny autumn days with a scented scarf. That’s how I imagine wearing it these days. It’s not super sweet, it has its right point. What I notice most is the amber, which dominates the other notes a bit but without overpowering them.

A delicate, sweet, and fruity fragrance without being cloying, featuring a ripe, juicy fig or apricot. It blends perfectly with the opulent Sambac jasmine, adding sophistication and elegance. At first, I noticed a slightly unappealing note for my sweet-loving nose, something bitter and intense, along with bursts of jasmine that remind me of Mugler’s Alien (I don’t like the jasmine here). It settles into a warm yet fresh scent with the subtle creamy touch of amber and cinnamon, which is more pleasant to my nose. It’s an economical fragrance, versatile, ideal for semi-formal work, meetings, meals, dinners, and ceremonies in warm or spring-summer climates. The fixative is good for an EDT, lasting around 6 to 7 hours, with a medium trail that is present, then it becomes more of a personal enjoyment, feeling quite good for about 4 hours. Recommended for those who like sweet, sophisticated florals with the right touch of cheerfulness.😉
