Hello everyone, I used this fragrance and I say that on my skin it differs greatly from the original Black Opium, despite them claiming it’s the same aroma in a more elegant bottle. It’s terribly addictive: at first, the black coffee and licorice take control, giving way to white flowers in perfect harmony for the eight hours it lasts on me, alternating between coffee-licorice, jasmine, and more coffee. I loved it; I wore it one summer night and didn’t go unnoticed. The bottle is dreamy, reminding me of Paris in August. For now, it’s my preference; I recommend it to those who like to be noticed for their good trail and longevity.

Hello everyone! I tried this perfume and can confirm that on my skin it is very different from the original Black Opium, even though they claim it’s the same scent in a more elegant bottle. • More than the Pure Tonka, my favourite from Angel, perfumes with coffee notes rarely grab me; they often lack punch and that caffeine kick that makes them feel real (think Rochas Man, Attitude by Armani, or Polo Red). I’d never tried Black Opium before, and with divided reviews on longevity, I was sceptical. But I took the plunge blindly and it delivered on every front. Forget Lenny Kravitz; I’m not a fan of his masculine offerings. This has genuine coffee. I detect a very subtle pink pepper, a licorice note that doesn’t overwhelm as it does in others, and a playful vanilla that isn’t cloying. Performance is more than acceptable: I didn’t measure projection, but it’s not shy, melds beautifully with the skin, and lasts quietly for around 10 hours. Mission accomplished!
