I tried it yesterday at El Corte Inglés by chance. I was looking for the classic silver cone from the nineties, but this violet caught my eye and I tried it on the skin… Oh my goodness! A perfect symphony between fresh and floral-sweet. It’s created a real need in me. It’s fresh and clean like the Miyake seal, but the floral and sweet touch of violets and iris is elegant and feminine, ideal for summer evenings. Although in the heat I prefer citrus, on my summer nights I want something more elegant with just the right touch of sweetness, without being cloying. Et voilá! Here it is, Solar Violet. A round and balanced infusion. I’m going for it headfirst.

  • What a lovely scent and what a fitting name. Here you have a powdery violet with secondary iris touches, clean yet creamy, sweet and solar. Issey Miyake always gets it right creating clean perfumes, ideal for daily wear, simple and unpretentious, avoiding musky or citrus-soapy notes. The projection isn’t huge, but the skin fixation is excellent (over 8 hours). Ideal for work if you’re looking for something unobtrusive.

I’m pure violet and I’m looking for a perfume with this note instantly, but here the violet is almost non-existent, perhaps just the colour of the liquid. What does stand out is the iris and the pear, with that typical aquatic touch of the line: soapy and creamy, nothing powdery. I’ll leave it, it’s not for me.

This scent doesn’t need to be complex to be beautiful. It has the DNA of its Eau de Issey family. On the opening, there aren’t just pears, but solar notes and perhaps white flowers (magnolia, jasmine, or lily) very well accompanied by the violets. In the base, there’s iris that recreates the stem of the leaves, plus clean musk and perhaps unlisted precious woods. The trail is low or soft, and the longevity on my skin has been 3 to 4 hours, reasonable performance for a body water with natural ingredients.

  • Nice scent but very fleeting. The pear combined with the violet makes it very neat and elegant, but you’ll have to keep reapplying.

  • I tried this eau de toilette today; upon opening the bottle, violet takes centre stage, followed by a non-sweet green pear. After an hour, it briefly reminded me of the classic original, but then iris emerged, lending a clean freshness and revealing its original evolution. It offers an acidic sweetness without being powdery, though I feel some notes are missing. I’m disappointed there’s no perfume version as it doesn’t last long on my skin, which is why I haven’t bought it yet. Despite its name suggesting sunshine, it lacks solar notes; it’s a luminous, velvety, and very feminine fragrance.

  • Today I tried this beautiful eau de toilette. At first, the violet dominates, followed by a green pear that isn’t sweet at all. After an hour, it reminded me of the classic original, but only for a moment. By the end, I’m starting to appreciate the iris, which gives it a clean touch and makes its original evolution clear. It surely carries other notes that give it an acidic sweetness without being powdery. I still haven’t found its version in a perfume bottle, which is a pity because it doesn’t last long on my skin. That’s why I haven’t bought it. There’s no solar note despite the name, but it’s a luminous, velvety, and very feminine fragrance.

  • Smells like soft, clean violet, akin to a violet body milk. A single spray of violet should smell similar; I don’t detect a complex aroma. I like it, but it hasn’t quite won me over yet. I’m unsure whether to buy a small tester to see how it holds up for daily wear.

  • Smells like a soft, clean violet, like a floral body milk. A single-drop violet should smell like this; I don’t see any complex aroma. I like it, but for now it hasn’t made me fall in love; I’m unsure if I should buy a small one to see how it goes with daily wear.

  • Trying it on right now and it’s very soft, perfect for enjoying on your own. I think it’s ideal for young people, very feminine and delicate; it reminds me of A Drop by Issey but with a more pronounced violet note. It has a sweet touch, even though it’s floral, and I’m really liking it. Being fresh and cheerful, I see it as perfect for spring and summer. Although it’s soft, it lasts over 3 hours without losing intensity.
