Do not be alarmed by this review. I am neither elevating this fragrance nor diminishing my beloved Terre d’Hermes, yet there is a genuine parallel. Before writing this, I had not seen the English review on Fragrantica, and indeed, four people had already voted for its similarity to Terre d’Hermes (I am the fifth vote). This Benetton scent smells of bitter orange peel, somewhat inclined towards synthetic. And is that not what Terre d’Hermes smells like? Well, yes and no. While this aroma/note dominates Terre d’Hermes, it is not the only one; Terre d’Hermes possesses a more sophisticated evolution. This Benetton fragrance was launched two years after Terre d’Hermes, so it will eternally carry the label of ‘copy’. When I analysed the notes, I observed there are not many matches, but the citrus notes are there, they are absolute protagonists of this fragrance, but do not expect a typical citrus scent; this is: bitter orange peel with a synthetic touch (not poorly presented, despite my aversion to synthetics, I must say that here that touch is appreciated). So I will repeat what someone says on Fragrantica in English: If you like Terre d’Hermes, you can acquire this fragrance, sensibly cheaper. I like it, as much as I like Terre d’Hermes.
