1, 2, 3 – First impression: an opening that doesn’t quite fit. The initial burst is peculiar, with that acetone-like, synthetic edge that hits the nose hard. I immediately thought of a banana, but not a natural one; rather, an artificial, creamy version, likely due to the ylang-ylang dominating the top notes. I’m not hooked by this opening; it’s aggressive and somewhat chaotic. However, it does have merit: it evolves. As it dries down, it softens, settles, and reveals something more familiar, smelling of a fragrance I’ve encountered before, though I can’t quite place which one. The trail is potent and impossible to ignore, but beyond how it changes, it doesn’t win me over. It’s not a bad perfume; it’s well-made, has body and personality… but it’s not for me. It leaves me with a sense of distance: I respect it, but I don’t desire it.
