  Sparkling, dry and spicy, nothing sweet, very of its time but totally wearable today, with that peppery touch, very rich on skin.

  Potent opening with tarragon, fern (I sensed it like strong absinthe) and lavender. After four hours, soft florals, spicy notes, and that swirling green fern note. Finally, soft woods, musk and leather. It has all the spirit of the 80s: a wild fougère with that green note which can be irritating if over-applied, but will delight fans of ferns, Jazz and Tsar. No citrus, it’s a pure green, spicy and leathery experience (not a green aromatic, ha-ha), and zero sweetness. The trail starts heavy, drops to moderate and lasts over 12 hours. Ideal for mid-seasons and daytime wear. Seems discontinued, but if you catch it on an old shelf at a ridiculous price like me, and you like ferns, I recommend it.

  I picked this up at a ridiculous price. Its vintage look hooked me instantly; upon application, I was reminded of my grandfather, surely he wore this cologne. I wear it after a shower or as an aftershave, and ufff, it transports me to another era. The opening is strong, heavy, almost mentholated, followed by green and woody notes. It’s a ‘dated’ fragrance, but my love for 70s/80s Fougères compels me to wear it almost daily, at night when it’s cold. I hope they continue to value these works of art.
