Descripción
A Drop d'Issey Eau de Parfum Fraiche by Issey Miyake is a floral aquatic fragrance for women. Launched in 2022, this composition was created by perfumer Ane Ayo. In its opening, the top notes evoke the freshness of rain; the heart unfolds a bouquet of lilac, aquatic notes, and damask rose; while the base settles on a foundation of super ambroxan, dreamwood, and Virginia cedar.

Hues like water in the form of dew on plants, to the ripples in the water, fresh nature water. It has something that reminds me of Galimard’s Paradox, whose notes are open and deep, fresh but also somewhat dark. Very pleasant and super easy to wear. It has something that reminds me of Noa Perle, among other things, due to the bottle colour. It’s fresh, pretty rain with rainbow sparkles.
I didn’t like it. The opening is extremely sharp, even to the point of being annoying. It’s very aquatic and, in my perception, also somewhat citrusy. When it settles, the scent becomes less piercing but doesn’t quite become soft. I don’t find a wet forest or natural green notes here; in fact, it feels quite synthetic to me.

It hasn’t worked for me. The opening is too sharp, to the point of being annoying. It smells very aquatic and citrusy in my opinion. As it settles, it loses its focus but doesn’t become soft. I don’t feel that wet forest or natural green notes it promised; in the end, it smells quite synthetic.
🔎👃🏻 FIRST IMPRESSION 👃🏻🔍 No need to say it, gender in perfumes is nonsense and just marketing, but this fragrance is unisex through and through. I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s floral, fresh and aquatic with that green touch of freshly cut stems. The projection is moderate, perfect for the day, whether at the office or for casual or semi-formal outings. I detect white flowers not listed (they remind me of Scent on Canvas’s Blanc de Paris), light, with a cold, aquatic yet bright sensation, like crystal-clear water under the sun, with cedar pushing from the base. 🧠👀 MENTAL IMAGE: A spring or summer dawn in a field full of large trees, surrounded by green, velvety grass dampened by dew, with white and lilac flowers bathed in orange rays that haven’t yet warmed everything, reflecting off the edge of a cold, gentle and crystal-clear lake, caressed only by a brief breeze. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ☆ ☆ ➖ ✅ Possible purchase ✅

This perfume has absolutely captivated me. It’s exactly what I’ve been longing for in the summers: a scent with rain notes. I adore the A Drop d’Issey for its creamy lilacs, and this one has enchanted me too. It gives me that sense of peace being in the middle of a lake in a green forest, almost magical, with little sunlight and a breeze carrying the scent of woods and wet lilacs. The A Drops… have won me over. Longevity and sillage are moderate.
A Drop d’Issey EDP used to bring me creamy, dense lilacs, like a luxury body cream. In contrast, the Fraiche version is much fresher and aquatic, with softened florals and a slightly sweeter touch. I see it as ideal for everyday wear in moderate or warm temperatures; it’s unisex but leans feminine and very easy to like. Longevity is moderate, around 5-6 hours on skin with a soft projection after the first two hours. If you enjoy clean perfumes, you’ll adore it. I prefer it to the original and have it in mind for summer.
It’s a pleasant fragrance from the very first moment; it lifts your spirits and makes you feel fully immersed in nature. It has those aquatic and lilac notes listed in the olfactory pyramid, but it’s a pity it’s an Eau de Fraiche that doesn’t last even an hour on the skin. At that price, I’d buy an Eau de Toilette or Parfum from another brand with the same notes.
My latest acquisition, a birthday gift for my husband, one of the few NOT bought blind in my collection. How did I come across this beauty? In the duty-free shop at São Paulo airport, while killing time, we smelled various perfumes and I was showing my 10-year-old daughter what I knew, when my 7-year-old son came along with this bottle in his hand. I was terrified he’d break it, so before taking it from him, he sprayed a little on his little hands… Upon leaving, he looked at me and said: ‘Mamaaaa! This perfume smells like the sea and lemons, I love it!!’. Only then did I pay attention, as until then I had only leaned towards the classic. Indeed, this beauty is pure water, fresh and vibrant, like a waterfall that wets the surrounding earth as it goes. There are lilacs, if there are any, but attenuated, much more ethereal than in the classic version, and the woods, as they dry, give it a bit of depth. It doesn’t have the best performance, but I’ve used it in oppressive heat (40°C) with extremely high humidity; I need to try it in drier and colder climates, although its scent is very much summer. Longevity of about 6/8 hours and a lovely sillage in the first hours, not much more. I love it!!! Especially because it will always remind me of my son’s innocence ❤️

I must start by saying that, to my nose, it doesn’t resemble the original. Its opening is aquatic-floral, loaded with very subtle and elegant lilacs that make me think of the texture of rice paper; this is the phase I liked most. As it settles, the lilacs become more woody without adding weight. The final phase is the one I liked least, as it gets loaded with ambroxan and loses that characteristic light floral quality. Its projection is good for an aquatic, lasting easily 8h on my skin. This drop seemed much prettier to me than the original. A very feminine and fresh perfume for warm days, perfect for any situation that isn’t too formal. Lilac isn’t an accord I’ve seen much (it seems extremely retro), but this perfume has convinced me to explore it more. I recommend it to those who love light perfumes or those who want to smell good without leaving a heavy trail. Pleasant: 7/10. Interesting: 7/10. Versatile: 7/10. Original: 7/10.
It’s a very pleasant clean scent, suitable mainly for summer or for people who like fresh perfumes all year round. I also own the A Drop and, in my opinion, they have nothing to do with each other: one smells of clean lilacs and this of aquatic rain freshness. I’m even surprised at myself for describing smells like this, haha. Along with Loewe Agua, these are my clean and fresh wardrobe scents; they make me feel good and I believe they’re suitable for any age and occasion. The longevity has surprised me for the better; a real hit.
Very fresh for summer. I can’t stand the A Drop because of the lilacs, but here the cheerful wet notes, the rose, ambroxan and woods are more noticeable. This one I would buy.
It’s aquatic and floral, smelling like the water in a pond surrounded by flowers. It’s very pleasant; if you like aquatic perfumes, this will be right up your street. It’s not a beach aquatic, but one that brightens your day; I’d wear it always, though I wouldn’t pay a high price because it doesn’t turn my head. If I find it at a good price, I’d buy it. It doesn’t smell the same as the first A Drop from the white bottle.
Aquatic, floral… it smells like the water of a pond surrounded by flowers. It’s very pleasant; if you like aquatic perfumes, this will be very much to your liking. It’s not a beach aquatic, but an aquatic that brightens your day. I would always use it, but I wouldn’t pay a high price for it, as it’s not something that keeps me thinking about it. If I find it at a good price sometime, I would buy it. It doesn’t smell the same as the first A Drop, from the white bottle.
It has the DNA of the classic but much more aquatic. In my opinion, it’s exclusive for very hot summers. I prefer the classic version because it’s more versatile.
It’s a wonderful aroma if you like fresh perfumes. It has a cool finish ideal for summer. I perceive it as aquatic-marine with a strong unisex character; a man can wear it without any issue. It reminds me of the shower gels I use, but it smells much better because it’s very well constructed. It doesn’t resemble the original A Drop. I’ve enjoyed it throughout its evolution without noticing the Damask rose. What remains are slightly salty aquatic notes on my skin, like the sea, and wet lilac from the rain; from a distance, it smells of very shy wood. It’s like being in a garden by the sea after a rainy afternoon. The final result is clean, fresh and subtle, skin-scent after five hours.
Marvelous! This fragrance is very special and beautiful. Its aquatic notes are ethereal, transporting you to a lush forest after a summer storm. It’s a masterpiece for me. Longevity and sillage are very good, as with everything I’ve tried from this designer. A 10!
What a gem! It’s one of my favourite perfumes. It’s fresh, yet I wear it in cold weather; I think the notes stand out better in winter and spring. It feels like being in a cabin with the window open, just after a rainstorm, with a lilac garden in front of you where the wind brings the scent of rain, lilacs and wet earth. It’s very realistic. Although I don’t buy blind because you have to love this olfactory DNA. Scent: 10/10. Longevity: 3-4h. Sillage: low-medium. I’ll be buying it again.
It’s madness! Smells like a summer shower in a lilac garden with grey skies and freezing air. It has a dark touch, like twilight; I can see myself in a white dress soaked in rain. It’s gorgeous, just like the original but without that creamy part; here it’s more liquid water and the lilac shines on my skin. It reminds me of the rain note in Natura’s Ryo. The original remains my favourite, but this one is perfect.
