In the first few seconds, my nose was invaded by something exquisite. First, a déjà vu with the fruity handling of ‘Halloween Fleur’ (2014), though it’s not the same; the way the chords are built is similar. Second, it’s the ‘feminine’ version of ‘Black XS’ (2005) by Paco Rabanne. Third, it’s a bomb of cherries and more cherries (or rather, cherry-raspberry; for me, they’re the same). That said, as an Eau de Parfum, it doesn’t live up to the bad reputation of this house for poor longevity; here we have a low sillage and moderate lasting power. The musk adds depth without being intrusive. If any gentleman wears ‘Black XS’ (2005) well, they could use this without regrets. However, the ideal wearer is a young woman (under 30); I can picture my friend with long black hair and porcelain skin, made to measure. A fragrance for beautiful girls, if you understand what I mean. Two thumbs up for L’Occitane en Provence.
