I had it and gave it away. My skin ruined it. I suspect it carried pink pepper; although I’m attracted to the scent, when I put it on my skin it reacts and changes completely. What a pity, because everything with pepper is very sensual.
Lots of peony, casia and lychee, a touch of pink pepper… and in the background, a synthetic musk that I notice. For me, Gucci failed with this flanker; though it serves for daily wear with dignity. The bottle is very coquettish, so I perceive it on women. I find it similar to YSL’s Elle, even the bottle, although the latter is more woody.
I was gifted this and initially hated the overpowering pineapple note, so I tucked it away in the cupboard for two years before trying it again. Simply brilliant! On the skin, the roses and lychee blend perfectly, hitting that spicy pepper balance I adore.
To me, it smells of pure pineapple with a touch of fresh roses; very lovely.
I had it, can’t find it anymore. It’s a beautiful fragrance, reminiscent of the original Gucci Envy but more youthful, cheerful and casual. It has a young spirit, it’s innocent and less sensual than its predecessor.
To me it’s pure pineapple scent with a touch of fresh roses. It’s very pretty.
A gift from my mother.
It was a gift. At first I hated the pineapple scent and kept it away for two years. One day I smelled it again and it was incredible. On my skin the roses and lychee developed beautifully. I adore perfumes that balance the pink pepper well.
I tried it once in Liverpool at a perfume shop. It just smelled of mandarins mixed with white lilies and a hint of green forest. I loved it immensely.
It doesn’t suit me much. They say it’s ‘addictive’ for men, but I don’t believe it. On my skin it leaves no trail and fades quickly, perhaps it’s just me. I see nothing special about it.
It doesn’t really convince me. They say it’s addictive for men, but I don’t believe it. It leaves no trail and the scent fades quickly, though perhaps that’s just my skin. I see nothing special in this fragrance.
It’s an absolute madness of pink pepper! A floral-fruity blend, slightly acidic, sparkling and musky. It’s not my favourite and I wouldn’t place it at Gucci’s level (though with Guilty, who knows), but for this spring in my area it’s ideal and revitalising. It hints at summer with its exotic juices and cocktails. I wish the youth perfumes in my city (Playboy, Pachá, Mercadona…) had this fruit. It’s fresh and long-lasting; the tea and green notes give it vitality, while the woods add a touch of personality. It even smells of optimism, perfect for a Monday morning rush.
I absolutely love it! It feels mysterious, flirtatious, and perhaps a bit talcy. Every time I wear it, people ask what I’m wearing, and the best part is that it lasts all day.
I love it!! I feel mysterious, coquettish, and perhaps a bit talc-like. Every time I wear it, people ask what perfume I’m wearing, and the best part is that it lasts all day.
Out of 10, I give it a 5. I bought it when they discontinued Gucci Envy, but it’s nothing like it; not even close; it doesn’t come anywhere near matching it.
I smelled it today and fell in love; it’s a wonderful beauty, simple and without fuss. It lasts and performs well; it’s a rich blend of fruits with spicy touches. A delight.
It fixes very well, but with moderate sillage. It’s a blend of pink pepper and fruits. It’s spicy and fresh at the same time; at first, it smells like honey and beeswax. I consider it very sexy, cosmopolitan, and to a certain extent narcissistic. Yes, it’s Gucci, of course.
It’s a bitter yet addictive scent. The strong pineapple notes are hooking, although I bought it because it smelled wonderful on my friend’s skin. On my skin, it smells different; it doesn’t embrace my skin as I’d like, just like with other perfumes. I have a strange love for this: I want it, but it’s not so sure about our relationship.
It doesn’t smell bad, it’s pleasant, but it doesn’t stand out. It doesn’t seem as sophisticated as its brand, just like Bright Crystal; both remind me of shampoos or soaps, or of fresh girlie colognes, or of the Adidas ones from the supermarket (and there you sometimes find something with more personality). It smells of pineapple and strawberry, with something musky or talc-like. After a while, it becomes more floral and honeyed, but nothing special. It doesn’t last long and has little sillage. For me, it’s for after a shower or lazy days when I’m not going out. It’s comforting and does ‘a clean’.
It’s not unpleasant, just agreeable but that’s all. It lacks the sophistication its brand promises, much like Bright Crystal; both smell of shampoo or soap, those girly colognes or the Adidas sprays from the supermarket. Even cheaper brands have more personality. It smells of pineapple and strawberry with a musky or talc-like touch, then turns floral and honeyed, but nothing stands out. It doesn’t last or leave a trail. For me, it’s only for after a shower or days when I have no desire to go out. It’s comforting and does ‘clean up’.
Gucci Envy is an interesting fruity-floral with lots of pineapple and a less noticeable mango. It has a creamy touch from the lychee; the rose is there but shy. Some might find it cloying or synthetic, but I love it; it has personality. It reminds me of my adolescence, of Regina George with sticky lip gloss and monochromatic eyeshadow. It was born the same year as Mean Girls, so it makes sense.
Could this be the perfume Regina George used to smell like a rich girl? If so, I want it.
Fresh and perfect for everyday wear; smells like freshly cut grass with peony. Gives a sense of cleanliness and is ideal for heading to work mid-week.
I tried it by chance and really liked it; it blends beautifully with my skin and is different from what I usually wear, so I was sure I’d buy it. However, later I tried a decant and it didn’t convince me; there’s a note that bothers me, so I used it up as quickly as possible.
