According to the review, this new flanker of Agua Loewe is musky, floral and woody, thanks to the sandalwood. However, I feel that mandarin and blackcurrants dominate, making it more fruity with sweet and slightly alcoholic tones. After an hour, the freshness and delicacy of jasmine and valley lily emerge. With this in mind, rather than unisex, it’s hybridly feminine—ideal for summer evenings.
A pleasant pear freshness combined with the creaminess of sandalwood; excellent for starting the day, it brings a great attitude and impressive longevity, typical of Loewe as the brand grows. I suppose it will be a limited edition, so I rushed to buy it. They might classify it as unisex due to the vetiver, but it’s a summer breeze for any woman. I let it dry between objects and it still smells wonderful; I really like it.
I tried it on a friend and then remembered something… Checking my own collection at home, I realised it’s very similar to Cannon Argentina’s Nuit 3 (lily of the valley, freesia, bergamot, passion fruit, amber and cedar). The Loewe smells of unripe blackcurrants and non-sweet pear, with a vetiver base. The sandalwood comes through nicely at the end. It lasts a long time and is good value here. A perfumer friend told me it’s cheap because Loewe is part of FACS—the house behind Givenchy, Dior, Kenzo, Guerlain and Loewe—and this is the line without heavy advertising. I’m not usually a fan of fruity or tropical scents, but this has a watery touch I absolutely love. Although I think the Cannon is more pleasant, as I find the Loewe slightly bitter and it doesn’t quite suit me.
Intensely floral and woody. Ideal for summer evenings. It’s fresh and delicate, evoking a sense of security and wellbeing. It suits light clothing perfectly, reminding me of white flowers.
Fresh, citrusy, and generic. Nothing special about it and it’s not worth the price; it smells like supermarket cologne.
Does anyone know if they’ve added it to the new Loewe range? It’s driving me mad and I can’t find it anywhere.
