At first, it smells odd: coconut and sandalwood hit hard, while the musk and talk come out slowly. Less ambroxan than claimed. It’s rich, but if you like powdery perfumes, this is a cocada version of Cry Baby. The smoky note won’t please everyone, but for me, it adds a pleasant body. I’m writing this with four hands because they’re gifts; they’re not cheap. 15ml seems ungenerous, although there are already rare cases of artist perfumes in that format.
At first sniff, it sounds odd to me: what stands out most is the coconut and sandalwood, while the musk and talc creep in slowly. As time passes, I notice the ambroxan they claim it contains is barely detectable. It’s a rich perfume, but if you’re seasoned in powdery scents, this will seem like a cooked version of Cry Baby. I admit its smoky note won’t appeal to everyone, but for me, it gives a very pleasant body. I’m telling you with four hands because they’ll be gifts, and watch out, they’re not cheap. 15ml seems a bit scandalous, although I’ve seen crazier cases of artist perfumes in that format.
Air of Clarity smells like coconut and caramel soul 🥥🍮. Upon spraying, those notes dominate, but as it dries down, the woods impart a soft warmth that reminds me of Mexican cocada. It’s ideal for gourmand fans or coconut lovers; the sweetness is not invasive, staying moderate. The trail is wide and fills the space without being bothersome. On my skin, it lasts around four hours and over six on clothes. The downside is the price: very expensive for just 15ml. If you like sweet perfumes or are a fan of Melanie, it’s worth it. In Mexico, ZENZ has an identical dupe and is much cheaper. My rating: 9/10
Air of Clarity is pure coconut and caramel soul 🥥🍮. Upon application, the coconut and caramel dominate, but as it dries down, the woody notes add a soft warmth that reminds me of Mexican cocada. Ideal for gourmand lovers or those seeking a pronounced coconut. Its sweetness is not invasive, remaining moderate. The trail is wide and present, filling the space without being intrusive. On my skin, it lasts around four hours, and a bit longer on clothes. The only flaw is the price, which is very high for a mere 15ml bottle. If you like sweet perfumes with coconut, this is an option, and if you’re a fan of Melanie, it’s worth it. For something more affordable in Mexico, the ZENZ dupe smells identical for much less. My rating: 9/10
