Alma by Paula Cahen D'Anvers: A Powdery Floral with Warmth

Alma is a feminine fragrance by Paula Cahen D'Anvers that envelops the senses in a mix of white flowers, woods, and amber. Its composition is defined by a powdery accord, like soft face powder, resting on a sweet, faintly animalic base.

The opening is a brief sparkle of bergamot, which soon gives way to a heart of tuberose. This creamy, heady flower is paired with orchid, producing a lush and distinctly feminine bouquet.

Once the perfume begins to settle, sandalwood and amber create a woody, warm foundation. Vanilla and peach contribute a gentle, fruity sweetness, while an animalic undertone adds an intriguing, sensual depth.

Alma unfolds gracefully: fresh at first, then floral, and finally a powdery, comforting dry-down. It projects moderately and lasts well on the skin, making it suitable for long days or evening events.

This fragrance sits within the classic powdery floral genre, yet it possesses its own character. Warm spicy nuances make it versatile enough for colder months and mild spring nights alike.

Enthusiasts have responded positively, praising its smoothness and its intimate, non-intrusive presence. With an average score of 4.43 out of 5, Alma has earned a loyal following among perfume lovers.

For women who appreciate traditional scents with a contemporary feel, particularly those drawn to powdery florals and warm bases. It is also a fine option for anyone wanting a distinctive everyday perfume.

Alma is a fragrance that makes an impression: its powdery trail and warmth render it a reliable pick for an elegant, unforgettable scent.

I was looking for a perfume that didn’t feel so “sticky” on hot days and they recommended this one. It’s economical and very rich, you really smell the peach both in the opening and in the dry down. Very pleasant to wear during the day and every day, I don’t get tired of it even though I’ve used it quite a bit. I would definitely buy it again.

  2. My favourite from this brand along with the classic Paula. I never miss it in my collection. It has such a lovely touch with that sandalwood present and the sweet tuberose that sometimes remind me of a fine cologne. And its longevity is excellent on my skin, a bbb without a doubt.❤️

I loved and adored this perfume, it’s exactly what I was looking for, a rich floral perfume, it’s a bit serious, not too sweet but it doesn’t smell “masculine” either, it’s a somewhat mature fragrance, if you want to convey elegance, purity, cleanliness and neatness, I recommend it to you, not at all recommended for gourmand girls 🤭, I would use it for everyday wear, to convey that serious but pure vibe that I like 😊

my favourite from this brand along with the classic Paula. It’s never missing from my collection. It has such a lovely touch with that prominent sandalwood and the sweet tuberoses that at times remind me of a fine cologne. And its longevity is excellent on my skin, great value for money without a doubt.❤️
