This is the current Amber Romance from VS, already modified and distinct from the old bottle version, so be careful when purchasing. It’s worth it. I had doubts because no one was saying anything: it’s sweet, but not as much as Coconut Passion or Bare Vanilla. It’s lighter and more wearable, unlike those two, so don’t worry about it being repetitive. In terms of sweetness, it matches Velvet Petals, but it’s fresher, with a talc-like touch and a hint of musk. Here’s a reference if you haven’t tried it.

This is the current version of Amber Romance sold in VS stores; the fragrance has been modified and no longer carries the notes from the other bottle, so be careful when buying. It is worth it. I had doubts and no one clarified: Amber Romance is sweet, but not more so than Coconut Passion or Bare Vainilla. It is lighter and more wearable, not resembling either of the two. In terms of sweetness, it is at the level of Velvet Petals, but it is a bit fresher, with a talc-like scent and something musky. Here is the reference if you cannot try it.

  • It resembles Natura’s Cumaru, but softer and more wearable. I was about to buy it because it reminded me of something delicious, although the original felt too strong for me. Between a soft version of Cumaru and this, I would choose Velvet Petals Noir, which smells like a soft chocolate. The Amber is rich and similar in sweetness, but I didn’t buy it because I felt I might get dizzy with so much.

  • Satine.noir

I adore it for winter; it feels super cosy and warm. It is sweet, but less intense than other body mists from the brand.

  • It smells a lot like the Lolita Lempicka Eau de Parfum due to the shared cherry note. Nothing like the Estée Lauder Intuition as the comparisons claim; I bought it for that reason and was mistaken. I’ve tried both versions of Intuition and this VS one doesn’t resemble either, but rather the first Lolita version. Ideal for autumn and winter: very sweet, vanillaised, and creamy, with a cherry that tastes more like sweets than natural fruit.

  • Best Victoria’s Secret body mist; smells very warm and sweet without being cloying.

  • They are baby towels but with amber. I was excited by the custard and cherry notes, but I was very disappointed; I feel it suits an older lady better. The only thing I liked was the dry-down, which is slightly sweet. It’s not that sweet; it’s lighter and warmer, suitable for autumn and daytime, but there are better body mists. 4/10.

  • None of these miracles have an aroma similar to baby towels; it is sweet and cloying, I am disappointed.

  • It delivers on its promises; the notes are well-distributed and combined, and it smells rich. The amber is noticeable at first, then after 10–15 minutes, the vanilla and that characteristic creamy touch emerge, where all the notes blend uniformly. It’s an autumn fragrance evoking sophistication, femininity, calm, nostalgia, and maturity. I bought it blindly for my mother; she loves vanilla and woody scents, and she was surprised by how rich and exclusive it is, delighted with the creamy and cherry-tinted aroma. The ‘maturity’ isn’t for older people, but rather sophistication, calm, and wisdom. It transports me to a library with warm light, drinking coffee and reading, or to using it after a relaxing bath with freshly made sheets. Although it is strong, it’s not cloying or synthetic. Ideal for moving away from youthful scents like Pure Seduction or Love Spell, which evoke school days. This has a different style, reminding me of Julia Roberts or Nicole Kidman. If you like fruity/floral and youthful scents, try it first. Rating: 10/10.

  • It delivers on its promise: well-distributed and combined notes, a truly rich aroma. At first, the amber is noticeable, but after 10 or 15 minutes, the vanilla appears along with that creamy touch that characterises it, achieving a perfect balance. I would use it in autumn, which is the season it evokes. If I were to describe it in words: sophistication, femininity, calm, nostalgia, and maturity. I bought it blind for my mum, who loves vanilla and woody scents; she was surprised by how rich and exclusive it is, delighted with its creamy and vanillaised aroma. The ‘maturity’ is not for older people, but rather evokes sophistication and wisdom. It takes me to a library with warm light, drinking coffee and reading, or to using it after a relaxing bath with freshly made sheets. Although it is strong, it is not cloying or synthetic. Ideal for moving away from youthful scents like Pure Seduction or Love Spell, which evoke school days; this has a different style, more Julia Roberts or Nicole Kidman. If you like fruity/floral and youthful scents, try it first. My rating: 10/10.

Amber Romance is a body mist with incredible longevity, lasting around 6–7 hours. I don’t love the scent entirely; it smells clean yet sweet, nothing cloying. It’s an autumn body mist, more mature than usual for VS, but well-executed; it evokes a sense of calm. Suitable for day and night. Verdict: Scent 7/10, Longevity 20/10, Sillage 10/10.

  • At first, it smells like baby cologne, then the cherry and vanilla emerge. It is long-lasting, warm, and very rich.

  • It’s a sweet body splash that, to my nose, smells of burnt sugar for homemade flan. I detect a citrus note, perhaps from the cherry, since the packaging only mentions ‘deep amber, sugar kisses, chasing sunsets’. It’s lovely, sweet, and basic. It does the job, but I wouldn’t buy it again because it’s just ‘sweet’.

  • Rookie.scentology

It is a strong but sweet and warm scent. I feel the amber is the most notable, as the name suggests, but the sandalwood base gives it a special touch. My friend says it smells like an old lady, but for me, it is a very lovely and pleasant scent.

  • I agree with the previous reviewer: the initial burst smells of pure amber, something not listed in the notes, before rising strongly into wood via the sandalwood. At first, it reminds me of Vie Est Belle or Good Girl, but as a body mist, it settles quickly, leaving a sweet and warm trail.

  • Rookie.scentology

It is strong, sweet, and warm. The amber is the most notable aspect, as the name suggests, but the sandalwood base gives it a special touch. My friend says it smells of an older lady to her, but to me, it is very lovely and pleasant.

  • cursedhazakura

I don’t understand the praise; I bought both the lotion and the mist, and they smell like 2010—old and synthetic. I can detect the cherry, but it’s disappointing, especially compared to Lush or Rio de Janeiro’s newer mists; there’s no comparison. It smells like a girl from the 2000s. A friend tried the Coconut Passion and said it smelled of salt to her, and indeed, that’s exactly what it smells like to me.

I bought it by chance at the Erasmus in 2019 when I saw VS products in person for the first time and decided to try the brand with this body mist. I don’t know what came over me, because I can’t stand amber 😂, but I took it and used it religiously during that period, which was the best of my life, crazy and intense. I was 21 and decided to take my madness to the maximum, following my instinct. I was in Germany, Heidelberg, a dream university city. That year I discovered myself: I promised to finish the degree I hated and start living authentically, without doing what they demanded of me. I’m writing this review seven years later and what can I say: everything worked out perfectly 🙈✨. This fragrance led me to the boy I fell so hard for that I almost gave up everything for him 🫣, but luckily I still had my wits about me and kept my promise, my only true love 😂. It’s a very heavy and strident amber; I can’t stand this trail because it makes me dizzy and puts me in a bad mood, but that year I dared. I remember it wouldn’t come off even after washing the clothes 😂. The good thing is that since I spent a lot of time outside with apples in my backpack, in the end everything smelled of caramelised apples with this splash 😂😂. It seems funny to me, but I would never repeat it. I can’t explain the contradictory feeling it gives me, nor why I chose this, but I did and here I am 😂. The amber in this mist is as powerful or more than in Alien, for those who love this superpower. The longevity on me and on clothes is impossible to remove; if you want to check, it’s quite affordable.

  • I picked this up by chance during the 2019 Erasmus scheme; it was my first time with VS and I decided to try a new brand with this mist. I have no idea what possessed me, as I hate amber and get dizzy from it, yet I wore it like water during my best years in Heidelberg at 21, when I decided to live alone by instinct and leave behind what others expected of me. Seven years later, everything turned out perfectly: this fragrance led me to my soulmate, although I almost gave up everything for him; however, I kept my promise and finished that career I loathed. It is a loud, potent amber, equal to or stronger than Alien, lingering on clothes even after washing. The curious thing is that, with apples in my bag, everything eventually smelled of caramelised apples with this splash. I would never repeat it, but it was a unique and crazy experience.

  • It was a gift from a friend and always brings back summer memories. It is sweet and vanilla with an amber touch, not cloying and very youthful. People have asked me several times what I was wearing. You can wear it all year round and it lasts quite a while (5-6 hours without issues). If you want it to last longer, I recommend using the body lotion as well.

  • Satine.noir

It feels very cosy, warm, sweet and vanilla; perfect for cold weather. I also have the cream and it’s one of my favourites from the brand. Although they don’t last as long, the scent is welcoming and pleasant; it lingers on my scarf for much longer and it’s almost a winter must-have.

It feels very cosy; it is warm, sweet and vanilla, ideal for cold weather in my opinion. I also own the cream and it is one of my favourites from the brand; although it doesn’t last as long, the scent is welcoming and pleasant. It lingers on my scarf for quite a while longer, and for me it is almost a winter must-have.

  • A sweet and soft mist; on my skin it lasts about two hours and on clothes the same. I don’t detect any cherry or chamomile.

  • charlotinable

I grabbed it at a good price in the old packaging, which lasted longer. I love it for fresh days; it smells delicious.

  • I don’t use much mist due to the short longevity, but this is one of the three I own. If you like sweet scents, here is the perfect VS combo: Vainilla Lace, Coconut Passion and Amber Romance. They last me a bit longer than usual. Here are my notes: Vainilla Lace is pure vanilla, the common point of the other two, a basic scent without talcum powder notes. Coconut Passion is creamy coconut with vanilla, sweeter than tropical and warm. Amber Romance is sweet and sugary, softened by vanilla, less milky and cleaner. Sweet and relaxing.

  • I don’t usually buy or use much body mist or cologne because they don’t last long (and due to the quality), but this is one of the only three I own. If you like sweet scents, here is the perfect VS combo: Vainilla Lace, Coconut Passion and Amber Romance. I repeat, it has to be sweet. For me, these are the only ones that last a bit beyond application. Here are my three opinions: Vainilla Lace is pure vanilla, the common thread of the other two, a staple without a powdery smell. Coconut Passion is a creamy coconut sweetened by vanilla, sweeter than tropical and warm. Amber Romance is a sweet, sugary scent softened by vanilla, less milky and cleaner. Sweet and relaxing.

  • Reina Amigdala

I bought it without smelling it properly because it was in the Victoria’s Secret box; just as I was about to pay for another mist, the girl told me that if I grabbed another one it would be cheaper. Quickly I took the least fruity one (I don’t like fruity scents) and it was this… what good luck! To my nose it smells exactly like my signature, Bonbon by V&R, which feels like a second skin. Although Bonbon is more caramel and this is amber, they are similar. It is sweet with a fruity opening, but the dry down is vanilla, amber and with sandalwood. It lasts between 3 and 4 hours like any mist, with moderate sillage.

  • I love it; amber predominates followed by vanilla. It is perfect for autumn and winter. It smells powdery yet delicious. I enjoy it much when autumn arrives and I want a warm scent that reminds me of festivities like Christmas or Thanksgiving.

  • My mother loves it, but the sweetness makes me feel nauseous. I prefer fresh, long-lasting florals or citrus notes; warm, amber scents like this seem more suited to older ladies who know what they want and aren’t looking for new adventures.

  • My mother adores it, but it gives me a headache; the sweetness is far too much for a man. I prefer florals, citrus and fresh scents in women that last longer. Warm or amber notes like this one feel more suited to older ladies. Yes, they know what they want, but they seem past enjoying new adventures.

  • I love this fragrance; it smells super gourmand and youthful, very cosy, and in my opinion, it’s one of the most long-lasting from Victoria’s Secret.

  • It’s a pleasant and long-lasting scent if you apply it with moisturiser; it feels very sexy on me, and the vanilla leaves such a sweet trail on the skin that lasts for hours.

  • sweetmarycandy

It’s not, in my opinion, the best body splash from Victoria’s Secret, but the scent is very pleasant, though I expected more… It’s not sexy to me, nor as strong as many people find it. I use it at home as a room freshener, pillow mist, and for my loungewear.

  • It’s a pleasant and long-lasting scent when used with the cream; it sounds very sexy and the vanilla leaves such a sweet trail on the skin that it lasts for several hours.

  • A complete turn-off; it makes me nauseous. It’s pure, heavy vanilla that gives me a headache. Please don’t buy it; it’s disgusting. I hate it; whoever invented it deserves the cruelest death imaginable. I truly don’t know which ingredient makes it smell so repulsive; it smells just as bad as Esika’s Vanilla scent. For a moment, I thought the delicious vanilla in MEOW by Katy Perry would be as rich as all the perfumes’ vanillas, but no, a grave mistake. In short, this scent reminds me of when I’ve had too much alcohol and feel like vomiting.

  • brendilucente

I just can’t get behind amber bases, so Amber Romance is a definite no-go for me: it’s heavy and gives me a headache.

  • KillerQueen

My favourite of the VS mists. Very sexy and feminine. The first thing you notice is the vanilla, then the amber, and over time a touch of sandalwood emerges. It’s super gourmand, so if you don’t like smelling like a cupcake, you might want to skip it XD.
